Introduction: The Wedgewood Hotel London is located
within Bayswater, on the north western side of central London some 2.5 miles
from the centre (Piccadilly Circus). Leinster Square is a residential square,
several of the houses being converted into hotels such as this one. A
particularly good location as its within 1/3rd of a mile of 2 major shopping
areas, Queensway and Notting Hill. Queensway has a middle eastern slant which
reflects the large middle eastern population within Bayswater. It does still
however have an excellent cross section of shops, bars and restaurants which
will suit everyone. The area also is home to a popular covered shopping mall
called Whitley's and an ice skating rink. Notting Hill is an upmarket area with
an intimate feel and is surrounded by some of London's most expensive
residential housing. Less than 1/3rd of a mile to the south of the Wedgewood hotel is
Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, two large open parks which merge seamlessly
into each other. Much to see and do including the Diana memorial fountain and a
lake with boating on good weather days.
