Richmond has a bustling High Street and Town centre. Richmond Park domiated much of the location with its 2,500 acres of open grounds perhaps best known for its herd of free roaming red and fallow deer. Local attractions include Museum of Richmond, Marble Hill House: The last remaining example of the Villas and Gardens found along the River Thames in the Richmond area and dating from 1724, Octagon and Orleans House Gallery: 18th century interior design art gallery with a strong history which is seen by over 40,000 visitors each year, Ham House: A Mansion from the 17th century Stuart era with formal gardens and a reputation for being haunted. Close by is Twickenham Rugby Ground, Hampton Court and the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew.
