This area is traditionally very popular with budget class hotels and guests houses. Many are located side by side in converted Victoria houses and the number of such establishments is huge, perhaps the highest density of any other area in London. Central to the area is the mainline station of Paddington which runs the Heathrow Express train service. This is a non-stop train that runs to all 4 of the airports terminals without making any other stops along the journey. On the Eastern edge of Paddington is Edgware Road with its large range of shops and restaurants very much aimed at the middle eastern visitor or those that enjoy that culture. To the western edge is Queensway with the popular High Street shopping and covered mall called Whitley's. Bayswater runs along the edge of Hyde park where some of the more upmarket residential housing is to be found. Transport links are good and buses and taxis are plentiful in these areas for journeys into the more central areas of London. Attractions in this area include Serpentine gallery located within Hyde Park while all of London's attractions are easily accessible from this area. also see: >>>Hyde Park Hotels >>>Hotels near Paddington Station >>Hotels Near Westbourne Park |
