HOW TO GET TO RUSSELL SQUARE STATION FROM THE AIRPORT:
From Heathrow:
The Piccadilly tube line goes straight from Heathrow out to Russell Square station and takes around 54 minutes.
You can save around 10 minutes using the Heathrow Express but its far more expensive and requires you hitting changes just right.
Alternative:
Take the non-stop Heathrow Express service to Paddington Station. Switch to the Circle line on the tube and travel to Kings Cross Station. Switch to the Piccadilly line and travel out to Russell Square Station. (Around 45 minutes from Heathrow Central area)
From Gatwick:
Take the First capital Connect service to Kings Cross Station Thameslink. Walk to the tube section of the station across the road and take the Piccadilly line to Russell Square Station. (around 55-60 minutes)
From Luton:
Take the Shuttle bus from the airport to Luton Airport Parkway Station. (5-10 minutes)
From The train station take the First Connect service into Kings Cross Thames Link. (33 – 45 minutes). Walk to the tube section of the station and take the Piccadilly Line to Russell Square Station. (9 minutes including the walk).
From Stansted:
Take the Stansted Express or NXEA train into Tottenham Hale Station. Switch to the tube line and take the Victoria line Line into Finsbury Park Station. Switch to the Piccadilly line and travel to Russell Square Tube. (55-60 minutes)
From City Airport:
Take the DLR train to Bank Station. Switch to the Northern Line and take the tube train to Kings Cross Station. Transfer to the Piccadilly Line and travel to Russell Square Station. (around 40 minutes)
