Fantastic quality for an afordable price. The rainforest shower was fantastic. I liked having the basin in the room rather than having it in the bathroom.
A lot of latest technology in that room. Everything can be managed by the moodPad (iPad)

I love this hotel chain, modern, fresh, good use of technology, friendly genuine service. There's always something to catch your eye in the 'living room', good public transport route to London eye. Breakfast let them down, not heated through. A small point though. I would stay here again.

Friends had invited us to join them in London and to visit Twickenham for the England v Ireland warm-up.
They have stayed here before, but this was our first visit.
Friendly welcome, even though it’s a self service check in, this was also an easy process.
The rooms are all identical, we were on the fourth floor (you can choose a high floor, courtyard view, etc at check in).
A king size bed, basin, separate shower & toilet wet room, with a hairdryer, and hand wash in the room.
A large television with many channels (including adult ones! ) there is air conditioning but this is why I’ve only awarded 4 stars as 18 degrees as a minimum is still too warm for us, therefore we didn’t have a good nights sleep.
We had breakfast which was a decent selection, with tea and coffee ‘on tap’.
Check out is simple and we also used their luggage store, which was efficient.
We would stay again, especially if they sort out the air-con.

Hate to use the word “typical”, but CitizenM Bankside is everything expect from CitizenM. Interesting, stylish, quirky public areas. Clean, small, well-designed room with super-comfortable King bed. Nice morning buffet, and a terrific staff. Trendy without being pretentious. Access to the lounge at CitizenM Tower of London is a huge perk. Loved the south Bank location close to Burroughs Market and the Tate Modern.

It’s like something from Ikea/ Fifth Element/ something futuristic!
Never seen anything like it.

Now I’m not much of a people person anyway, so checking in on a device was fine.
And I’m definitely not a technology gadget type person either, but I found the iPad in the room very easy to use for mood lightning/ radio/ blinds.
As a solo traveller who isn’t fussed on the size of compact rooms (with a king size bed, how can I complain?) I found everything perfectly adequate.
Only one downside is that there are no tea/ coffee facilities in the room but that’s okay, there is Black Sheep coffee nearby.

so overall, do not stay if:
- You want people interaction.
- You secretly travel with a cat and you want space to swing it around in the room.
- You want to make tea/ coffee in the room.
- You don’t know how to use an iPad.

If you are the opposite of the above, say yes! Stay here! I loved it!

We loved staying here. Very flexible, pleasant and responsive staff. The common spaces are great: comfortable, attractive and useful. Breakfast is great, including the full service coffee bar. The beds are amazing. The sound-proofing is perfect. The showers are excellent. The only reason we are giving citizenM four stars not five is that the room is a little tight and especially because there is insufficient storage for clothes. We will definitely stay at a citizenM next time we are in a city where they have a hotel. It’s a fun, fairly-priced, and the service/“ambassadors” is great.

This hotel in London is amazing. Very comfortable rooms and hall, adorable people. Too inovation in the room, too smart. You can do all with an elegant tablet. Switch on/off air, television, lights, alarm. An incredible experience. I would repeat with Citizen group son.

After 3+yrs of travelling to London for work staying at whatever was cheapest I eventually gave it up and got a local job in Yorkshire. However my company wanted me to attend a meeting at hq in Southwark and booked me into this Hotel. Great I thought, I was always ok in all the cheapest places a better quality hotel will be a treat. Wrong.
First check-in, they can't be bothered with providing a reception you have to fiddle around with a touch key screen for 10mins trying to guess what the right answers are, so not a good start. My room was 123, but in the lift the Level 1 button says Conference Suites, there are rooms up there but it isn't mentioned just to confuse you.
The room is 7 foot wide room filled at one end with a 7 foot square bed, the sink is 1/2 blocking the corridor, the mattress, pillows & quilt come from another era. Just not a good one.
Because the mattress can only be accessed from one end it is worn/crushed down into the middle, so no matter which way you lie you are always rolling down hill. The pillows were lumpy and I couldn't beat a comfortable hole into it all night and the quilt is like the cheap ones which first landed in the 1970's where they were just a length of polyprop matting surrounded by a bit of cloth. They won't lie comfortably on you, so it keeps popping up off your shoulder and sits against your ear!
I never thought I would say this, but the bed/pillows/quilt in a Travelodge are a lot better!
There is also no drinks facilities in the room, there is a small fridge with 2 bottles of water in it, but I could find no mention of them being free are chargeable so I left them well alone.
Room is controlled by a iPad but idiosyncratically, the television and the choice of free up to date movie are excellent and this was by far the high point of the visit. But it went downhill from there, I made a mistake and set an alarm via the ipad before trying to go to sleep and left the ipad on the bed. 4hrs later it went off. The television comes on and a woman in slightly accented English start to count down from 100, I went to cancel it just to find the ipad had died overnight, I then had to try and get it back into its charger, get it restarted and kill the alarm, it took me over 60secs of almost continuous cursing to achieve this.
The room did have an 'a/c' unit controlled from the ipad, but whatever I did on the ipad it didn't seem to change the room conditions by any noticeable degree.
Shower is good with normal sliding head to the side and big overhead outlets.
Check out is the reverse of check-in and still as unsatisfactory.
For the £189 my firm paid for a room with no breakfast. There is a lot better available at a much cheaper price.

Really enjoyed our one-night stay at CitizenM Bankside. Ideal location for access to the pubs and sights of Bankside, and just across the bridge to the City of London. Very easy check-in process, and very friendly staff. The bed was seriously huge, the room has 'smart room' features for lights, curtains, television etc., and a very large shower with excellent water flow, plus hairdryer - a very comfortable experience with just the level of attention to detail required for comfort and convenience.

I loved this hotel. Decor is trendy and modern, staff all exceptionally friendly. Self Check in so easy ( makes you wonder why conventional hotels make it appear such an ordeal)
Rooms are comfortable but not too spacious. As a solo traveller it’s now an issue but it would be tight for two with luggage.
location is 5 minute walk to Tate Modern and 10 to the Shard, my favourite spot for tasty street food is in Borough Market.
london Bike rentals are just outside the door, and it’s a fantastic way to see the city, with some really good safe cycle paths and only £2 for 24 hours.
.

Fantastic stay;looking forward to going again.

The bar in the lounge has a fantastic atmosphere; however the drinks are a bit overpriced.
The room was nice, clean and very stylish. The enormous bed is absolutely amazing. I would definitely go again.

Stayed here for two nights. The location is great, short walk from Borough Market and lots of bars and eateries around.
The check in process was excellent, got an email a couple of days before to check in online so it meant that when we arrived all we had to do was scan a code and program our own keys, it took about a minute!
The hotel is clean and attractive, the lobby has a great vibe.
The room was compact but had everything we needed, the bed was massive and the room is controlled via an ipad.
My only criticism is that theres no shelf in the shower for you to place your toiletries on, so they had to go on the floor and I had to keep bending down for shampoo, conditioner etc, but this is only a small issue.
Overall we loved out stay here and would absolutely return!

Trendy hotel with an excellent vibe, check-in via electronic means (quite cool), a 24/7 bar on the ground floor. Rooms are quite small (cramped to an extent), typical London/CitizenM styled but cosy. My room oversaw the garden in the middle of hotel, which was really nice. Excellent experience.

many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback following your stay with us, though sorry to see we were not your cup of tea.

Our design matches the spirit of citizenM, but (just like art), we know every guest will experience it differently. We are proudly non-traditional, but we put the greatest focus on the essentials for the modern traveller: incredible beds and linens, fabulous showers, MoodPad technology, free Wi-Fi, and our beautifully designed living room, decked in quality Vitra furniture, to work, meet and hang out.

What truly sets citizenM apart from other hotels and what we are truly proud of is our ambassadors and the connections and service they offer our guests.

Safe travels,
Patrizia.

Returned to citizenM London Bankside on a business trip to the United Kingdom, having stayed here some years ago. Pleased to see nothing had changed - groovy fitout, courteous staff, cool, cosy rooms which are ideal for single travellers or couples, and awesome breakfasts, drinks and snacks. The location is great for south Bank and other attractions and short walk to the Tube. Recommended!

While the rooms may be small, they are really high quality. Be careful, you will easily lose an hour playing with the room iPad controlling everything from the blinds, air-conditioning and the colour of your shower. The wake-up alarm is interesting in that you can select the intensity - from just a mild ring (didn’t wake me up as I’m a deep sleeper) to “vigorous” which turns on all the lights, opens the blinds and plays the alarm off the television speakers. On demand movies are brand new, just off the big screen. Bed is super comfortable and spacious. The underbed storage (in addition to the coat rack) was so useful for clothes/suitcase.
I was in London during the big July heat-wave and my room on the top floor got a bit hot for me. One of the ambassadors, Kuba, made the effort of checking all of their vacant rooms to see if he could find a cooler one for me. I know because of his efforts I actually slept that night.
I usually find hotels bars dull and lifeless. Bankside’s bar staff were not just courteous and attentive, but were fun and talkative. Drinks list is extensive and well thought out. Bartender staff know exactly what to recommend – and really deliver on that.
Visiting London for four weeks, I can honestly say that the staff at CitizenM truly made it feel like a second home for me. I would like to especially thank Kuba, Daria and Alex for making the experience truly incredible.

First impression: fun, quirky and a good location. I really liked the public areas - the art, the courtyard area and the canteen area were all very pleasant, both the decor and atmosphere.

The check-in machines were quick and easy to use. The in-room tech was excellent, especially the mood lighting, and the bed is phenomenal. There's a slightly limited selection of television channels to watch (didn't bother me as I don't watch television) but I suppose this was made up for rather interestingly by a huge selection of porn!

Everything is controlled by an iPad and this was rather unhelpfully (though understandably) tethered to the wall. A Longer cable would be nice so you can actually use it comfortably. I especially liked the \
