This is a comfortable and useful airport hotel with economical parking. A shuttle bus operates every 20 minutes from warly until late. Clean and comfortable accommodation with a useful eating place, but we have never eaten breakfast there. \n\n.

Be aware of extras they say are free. The hotel was nice, comfortable, and very close to the airport. We enjoyed our stay, however we spent 25 each way on uber as they shuttle that was stated as free when we booked is actually a bus route that costs 3 pounds or 24 us funds one way. We booked this hotel due to the fact it had free shuttle. That was not the case and cost us an extra 50 dollars. I am not sure how they get away with stating they have free shuttle when it is not. If you have your own transportation or don't mind paying for taxi or uber the hotel itself is decent.

I hate giving bad reviews but I would\u2019ve welcomed this advice. The rooms were perfectly soundproofed but there was no way you would hear a jumbo jet landing outside your window because of the loud air conditioning which you are unable to turn off. This was not due to the inability of figuring out how the system worked. A sign next to the unit advises that you are not able to turn it off. A shame because we found other aspects of the hotel excellent. The check in staff, convenient location & restaurant were great (the cow at the airport reviewed separately). The most important criteria for me was a good nights sleep before an early flight & this was impossible even with earplugs.

Convenient location to airport if you don\u2019t mind a bit of a walk with your luggage. Stayed here twice, 3 weeks apart. On both stays found one of the elevators out of order - the other working but slow and crowded - really? The lift still couldn\u2019t have been fixed? On first stay was there 3 nights - bed was hard and uncomfortable. Requested a softer bed on the return visit - no such luck. Ouch. Ac was loud as an aircraft engine all night. Unable to moderate the hvac system. Tough with warm weather. Stay here in a pinch if you\u2019ve got Marriott points. Otherwise, might suggest trying somewhere else.

Staying at the Marriott Gatwick and just ate at the Cow, the hotel restaurant. Can\u2019t complain about the hotel - good sound proofing and very close to airport. Have stayed here before and good value. \n\nBut the restaurant - what a disappointment! \nlast year - lovely meal, friendly waitress, relaxing into our holiday. This year - screens on the tables to order from, takes ages to order while passing it around each family member to decide what they want, can\u2019t see what each dish comes with, then wait 50 minutes for your meal to arrive. What has happened to good old menus and waiting staff who take your order with a smile? \nIf I wanted to order from a tablet, i\u2019d go round the corner to Mc Donald\u2019s and pay \u00A34 for a meal, not \u00A320 for a main. Please remove the tablets - whoever made the decision to put these on tables needs a severe talking to. I ended up turning the tablet over so I couldn\u2019t see the bright screen flashing through my meal. It may be modern, but please go back to \u2018retro\u2019 menus and enable your guests to relax into their holiday. My kids have enough tablets, I don\u2019t need them on the table in the restaurant. \n\nRant over - still think good value for staying here and parking, but won\u2019t eat in your restaurant until you remove the nightmare tablets.

Nice location for flights from Gatwick. Friendly staff. But the room needed a lot of \u201ctlC\u201D. Peeling wallpaper, floor lamp had some sort of stain, furniture wood peeling off and the television was basically a computer monitor with 16 channels.

Nothing to see or do within walking distance, this is a hotel to stay in to avoid the risk of delay in relying on public transport to the airport.\n\nless than ten minutes taxi ride to North terminal and with a comfortable room I booked this on the day of arrival for \u00A390. I phoned the Hilton and they wanted \u00A3130.\n\nUnless your taste is Kentucky Fried Chicken or burger restaurants, I don't think there's anywhere within walking distance to eat other than the hotel's own restaurant ? so I ate there. And was pleasantly surprised ))\n\nThe tomato and pepper soup was very ordinary. But the fish of the fish and chips was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. And the service was very friendly.\n\nSummary ? If flying from Gatwick airport I would stay there again.

Had to stay here due to flight being canceled, we\u2019re lucky we got a room. It was very clean, we got a family suite I think it was called, had a pull out sofa and king bed. The bed was very comfortable, the sofa bed however was terrible, my girls were sinking to the middle, so it was hard to sleep. The second night we asked for extra padding, the housekeeping was great, super kind and helpful. Brought us a topper and bedding, despite all this it was still horribly uncomfortable, I slept in it with one of my teens and felt as if I was holding on to the side so I wouldn\u2019t fall. They were completely booked due to the airline mess canceling numerous flights otherwise we would have gotten two rooms. We were thankful they had nice accommodations and could walk back to airport. Would stay here again if necessary to catch a flight.

Handy location and can walk to terminal if wanted. Clean comfortable rooms. \nFood was average and expected to pay inflated prices in a airport hotel for food and drink. Waiter then added gratuity to the bill without asking. I didn\u2019t realise at first but then asked them to refund the gratuity as I didn\u2019t agree with it added on automatically. I will always leave a tip if we get good service but in theUnited Kingdomit\u2019s optional. I understand the hotel must have lots of international guests and don\u2019t agree with this. \nWe went on holiday to America and paid gratuity every time but they rely on tips and have a lower wage.

Air con not working on hottest days of the year. Staff just laugh it off. No notice to customers no apology. Food ridiculous price. 61.00 for a few sandwiches and a small pizza. Poor at best on arrival staff not great. Disappointing start to a Holiday.

We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott, London Gatwick the night before our flight. We stayed as a family of 3 in a family room with 2 double beds. We often use the Stay, Park & Fly rates when departing London Gatwick.\n\nThe room was ideal, of a good size, in good condition and comfortable. We had specifically requested a room with it\u2019s window to the central atrium so it was quieter.\n\nWe couldn\u2019t fault our stay, we ate dinner in the restaurant, typical international food but quite acceptable if not expensive.\n\nWill definitely stay again in the future, can\u2019t beat the convenience of a 10 minute walk to Gatwick south Terminal. The Stay, Park & Fly rates for Marriott Bonvoy members are perfect, you leave your car on arrival at the hotel, the parking company move it and then you are met at the terminal with your car on your return.

We stopped here the night before a flight so didn't spend much time or visit the restaurants. It was an ideal location being about 15 minutes on the transfer bus to north terminal and less to south. Buses ran every 20 minutes and cost \u00A33 each.\nThe rooms were a good size and they managed to give us rooms very close together as requested. My teenage daughter prefers not to share a bed with her 7 year old brother (strangely! ) so we had 2 rooms but the 2 beds would be fine for a family of 4. \nComfy bed, hot shower, helpful staff - what more do you need?

Unfortunately our flight from Gatwick was cancelled and we were booked to stay at this hotel for the night. This was a rushed booking and we didn\u2019t arrive at the hotel until 10.30pm. The hotel service was exceptional. We were travelling with 7 children and the hotel staff were brilliant at accommodating our every needs by giving us any room available. They also included evening dinner even though it was almost time for kitchen closing. The food was excellent. Rosie was incredibly helpful and even offered to safeguard our luggage despite the hotel being fully booked and there being no storage space. Vuk was also very helpful when checking us in. \n\nDespite the emergency nature of our stay we would recommend this hotel to any guests wishing to stay close to Gatwick airport. \n\nThank you for your brilliant service.

We had one night layover in London and 10am flight the next day. The hotel was within 1 km from the terminal and we walked. There would've been restaurant at the hotel, but also within short walk for example Kentucky Fried Chicken. Room was clean and comfortable for one night stay. Enjoyed the breakfast, which was not as a default in the booking. This seemed to be a surprise to some guests.

The hotel is technically on-the-airport (south Terminal), albeit a 15 minute 'meandering' walk in the open air, which isn't great if you have heavy luggage, or during bad weather. There is a hotel shuttle bus operating every 20 minutes, which charges a nominal fee per head for the short journey. Check in was easy, took the lift to my room, only one lift was working, which was a challenge at peak times. My room was well equipped, with television that had seen better days, tea and coffee making facilities, safe, large bed and bathroom, there is a well equipped desk for those who have to work, however, strangely no desk chair, after making enquiries housekeeping delivered a chair, which was broken, they returned with another chair, which was also broken, finally a 3rd chair arrived, which was faulty, but at least allowed me to work at the desk. Stayed for 3 nights on business, only other comment is the cleaner didn't replace the coffee and milk, so I asked for some at reception. Breakfast is buffet style, offering a good range of foods. The Cow restaurant has a good menu, offering a balanced selection of food, good quality, good service. Would stay again, but only for a day or two.

Stayed here for 1 night prior to a flight following morning. We always have difficulty with booking a family room as many hotels won\u2019t allow a booking for 3 adults and 1 child in 1 room, but the room here was comfortable and perfectly adequate for a 1 night stay, with even room for a travel cot. best of all was the excellent price, Staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast was lovely, with a full cooked section, a comprehensive continental section, fresh pastries, and even a pancake maker. What really impressed us was the lack of aircraft noise, surprising as the hotel is so close to the airport. If you\u2019re travelling with small children (we had a 2 year old ) it\u2019s worth paying for the shuttle bus to the airport, but for adults it\u2019s around 15/20 minutes walk. If your looking for a Gatwick Hotel this is definitely one to try.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a stop over. Good hotel, basic but clean.\n\nFor North Americans, it can be assumed that the courtyard would have a breakfast however (and this is clear on the website) there is no breakfast but there is an on site restaurant.\n\nWe arrived late (very, Long delays) and the hotel was excellent about holding the room.\n\nNo shuttle after midnight however you can take a cab from the airport for 12\u00A3. \n\nEasy walk during the day - approx 10 minutes and well marked. (We were tired at 2am and took a cab but walked the next day & it was easy)\n\nMcDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken are both a 3-5 minutes walk away (it is a bit of a game of Crossy Road/Frogger to get there but it\u2019s close and easy).\n\nOverall great stay.
