We have stayed at this hotel several times before as it is conveniently situated for public transport, however we were disappointed with the standard of our room and breakfast during our last stay in 2014 and have not used it since. As we liked the location, we thought that we would try it again and fortunately we were not disappointed. The rooms have been refurbished and breakfast was first class. This time it felt like a really decent 4 star with all of the amenities that one would expect from such an establishment including tea and coffee making facilities and free bottled water each day. We heard no traffic noise from our clean and well prepared 3rd floor standard double room. There was good, free WiFi. The air conditioning was quiet and effective. Our room had a shower in bath arrangement, the bath was quite deep and may present problems for those with mobility issues. The only minor shortcoming was the shaving /make-up mirror which was poorly placed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our faith has been restored and we will happily use it for our next trip to London.

Thanks for the reviews of past guests we find out this hotel at a reasonable price taking in consideration the location in London. Very clean hotel and very helpful staff always wanting that we spend a great stay. Has an underground train station in front of the street and a bus station nearby. The room was spacious for our family of four including a baby and a teenager. They offer late check out if need it.

I stayed here one night and was impressed. The hotel\u2019s traditional exterior hides a very modern interior and everything looks recently refurbished. Location is great, right opposite Blackfriars tube station, 5 minutes walk to the Thames path and under 10mins to St Paul\u2019s. We had a very warm welcome at reception, room was comfortable and an excellent size for London. Slightly disconcerting that the window had frosted glass so couldn\u2019t see out (it faced an interior courtyard) but at least it meant it was very quiet. Large stain on sofa was not\u2019t so good but room was very clean otherwise - would have been a 5 star review without that. We breakfasted in the Club Lounge which was really excellent and had lovely views of St Paul\u2019s dome and the Shard, with a helpful staff member. Highly recommended.

I really took the time to research where to stay and can say that I made the right choice. The tube station is across the street which is super convenient. Wi-Fi was dependable. My only complaint is the lack of a true coffee maker. They had instant coffee. Good news - there's a Starbucks across the street. This hotel is top notch.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. The hotel has an ok breakfast, nice modern rooms, and the service is ok. The location is good, but not much action nearby, but you can go for a short walk and get to things. I have stayed at several hotels in London and I recommend staying here for a weekend trip.

I was having a business meeting and event last month and was impressed by their excellent services and attentive staff. We enjoyed very much for the event catering with delicious tea, sandwiches and pastries. Special thanks to the staff, especially Aleksander, the manager, who was very attentive to me and my colleague. What a professional, very personable, helpful and humorous. Highly recommend to those who organize for business meetings and events. I would definitely visit again.

Stayed here in February. Lovely hotel. Ate dinner at the in house Italian and was very disappointed. The room was comfortable and cocktails in the Vaults were good. Reception staff were very helpful. Comfortable lounge area with bar food and snacks. Breakfast was lovely.
