Clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was good but a bit pricey so I wouldn't do it every day. They would have received a 5 star if the afternoon desk staff would have tried to answer my question.

This is a very nice hotel, the staff was great and the location excellent, it is pricey and the room are very small, even for the United Kingdom, other that that I would say this was a very good hotel, in a great location.

Good bits: The room was a good size for the central London location. Huge smart television, free Wi-Fi, good air conditioning, nice quiet room. Nice to have a genuinely comfortable armchair in the room! Lovely toiletries and a perfectly good bathroom with nice walk in power shower - so much better than those hazardous 'over the bath' affairs! Also nice to have a mini ironing board and iron in the room. Loved the fact that there were 'water stations' within a short walk of the room where you could get a refillable water bottle and fill it with water along with ice buckets and ice dispenser plus snack vending machines. Brilliant location - easy walk to Trafalgar square, theatres, Covent garden. Nice helpful staff - check in and check out was quick and easy and when I asked about where the best place was to get a taxi, the receptionist ordered one for me and it was there within a minute. \nNot so good bits: Read the very small print when booking! I was shocked to find the cost of the room was about \u00A330 more on checking in than the stated price - due to 'taxes' which were in very small print on the booking form! In this day and age - be transparent - this leaves the customer feeling deceived and it's not a great start to the visit to a hotel. In fact the cost of the room - for the size and location - was still reasonable including the additional 'taxes' so being transparent about the total price would be so much better. The wardrobe is very small and awkwardly placed (or it was in the room I had) - it was fine for one night but for a Longer stay with lots of clothes you might struggle. Whilst the pillows and bedding were lovely the bed was firm to the extreme! I like a firm bed but this was akin to sleeping on a table. I had a very uncomfortable disturbed sleep simply because the bed was far far too firm. A shame because the quietness and everything else about the room would have equalled a brilliant night's sleep - the hotel needs to invest in good mattresses (or as a minimum, in some good quality mattress toppers to soften things down a bit). The lack of a fridge is not a major problem but a mini fridge is always a good addition for milk and snacks - this would be especially useful as there is no room service as such. There is a menu whereby you can order meals from local restaurants but if you just want a bottle of water or a glass of wine or a sandwich in your room - there's no 'traditional' room service. Bear that in mind and make sure you bring with you any snacks, soft drinks, etc. If you don't want to eat in the main restaurant or drink in the bar. Overall I would stay here again (but hope for a softer bed! ) as it's good value for the excellent location and nice staff. \nFinally a tip: If you don't have breakfast included in your room rate, then it will cost you around \u00A320 in the hotel. If you come out of the hotel and turn left, within 2 minutes walk there's a great little breakfast restaurant Garfunkels where you can get a cooked breakfast for less than half the price.

We booked last minute for Prudential ride London event excellent location near to the Mall. We booked directly with the hotel. Room small but comfortable for 1 night stay and breakfast choice good. The reception were particularly helpful and also our baggage was held once we checked out until later that day for going home which was a real help. We will definitely return again.

We had a wonderful stay here - perfectly located for central London.\nMy daughter left her favourite toy dog, Patchy, behind. We contacted guest Services and Jane Jenner was amazing, finding the dog and seeing that it was returned to us at home.\n\nThanks for a great stay and your caring after-Service.

We stayed here for one night whilst we were in London for a show and it was lovely. Everyone was friendly especially Matthew who went out of his way to help. The room was clean, spacious and air conditioned. We would definitely come back. It is very local to everything too.

Grand stay at the grand \nClean and beautifully furnished like the water fountains \nGood clean room with a cracking television selection enjoyed the in house pizza and café in the bar area \nCalled in to this hotel in the spring and had a drink very impressed then hence the return.

My husband and I took a trip to London for our anniversary having never been before. The Grand was a perfect location within walking distance of several attractions and restaurants as well as multiple tube locations. The staff was very helpful, and housekeeping was immaculate. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. The only issue we encountered was the difficulty with the television but that quite honestly could have been user error. Otherwise a 10/10 hotel!

First let me say I reviewed many hotels in this price range-paid £667 for 3 nights-for this price nothing beats this hotel\nlocation is Cavo-it\u2019s not just good but it\u2019s important to note it\u2019s a quiet street but 3-6 minutes from everything! We looked at citadines Amba and one other but location was awful-middle of chaos-z hotel great location but room is way too small\nHotel is lovely staff is friendly, rooms are very clean-like sheets r crisp white and clean which is important to us\nBed is smaller than a queen and not super comfortable but not horrible either-for what we paid its great value-the next jump is £1100 and it\u2019s a whole other category but we spent minimal time in room and loved it St this hotel-also very safe we walked at night no problem\nlondon is amazing city so not miss.

We spent a Long weekend in London. The hotel location is great. Either to see a musical in one of the theaters which are a short walk away or if you wish to take the tube, a walking distance to shopping areas and some of the tourists attractions. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet though it\u2019s centrally located.

Hotel room was clean but room were small (typical for Europe). Property is centrally located in London, walking distance to many attractions. Hotel staff was great. Would recommend property. Great breakfast place next door!

It was a wonderful experience. We were central and just minutes from Trafalgar Square. The rooms were quiet and nicely appointed and there were services such as self serve laundry that was really appreciated.

This hotel lacks in hospitality! We arrived early and were first to try check in. We had to wait which was fine until I found out others that arrived later were given a room hours before us. I downloaded the app as suggested and even went to ask a few times. I was only given a room after I asked to speak to manager when two family suites were given to someone who had just arrived. At that time they reallocated my room to a different area and was immediately and rudely given a key. Also, were not told about the club areas, gym and snacks available to us until checkout. We usually stay at the St James around the corner and will return there for our next trip. \nThe location is really good and housekeeping is awesome!

Visited here with my family (4 of us) and loved it. Central location, great room, and very helpful staff. \n\nVery close to a few metro stations, some nice pubs, and of course Trafalgar Square and all that offers. \n\nWe stumbled into Chinatown by accident and very glad we did.

It was disappointing, however, to learn that we did not meet all of your expectations and we missed some opportunities to showcase our hotel to the standard we strive for every day. Great location and staff! The rooms and mattress a bit old fashioned. Spacious rooms.\nThe hotel is very comfortable as a whole. Very good and nice experience. I don't like noise so I asked for back room and was very quiet.

There\u2019s no nice bargain in London, especially central London. so the fact that the rooms were clean and relatively large (with high ceilings), and decently comfortable, is a plus. There\u2019s nothing extraordinary about the hotel, but we had a pleasant stay. I\u2019d consider staying again if the rate was good compared to similar hotel options.

Nice but small room. Good price. Superb location well within walking distance of the most desired sites and very close to the Charing Cross tube station. Attendants were very helpful and nice. I would definitely return.
