Having stayed at thr Alton Towers Hotel recently, I can gladly say this hotel is much better. The theming is fantastic - the public spaces are really well executed and lovely to look at. Our room with a view was spacious, clean and nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful. It's a real treat to look out of your window and see zebras, giraffes, ostriches and buffalo. \n\nThe restaurant and bar are, again, great to look at. There are some outdoor tables where you can sit outside with a drink and watch the animals as the sun goes down - perfect. There is a viewing area outside where you can see the animals and a small area of the theme park is open to guests after park closing for a couple of hours (kids play area and animals - no rides).\n\nThe food in the restaurant was nice enough, although nothing special. It's worth going for the convenience and atmosphere though. The buffet breakfast was mediocre but included in the price of our stay, so I am not complaining.\n\nThere is family entertainment in a separate room but we didn't watch it so can't comment on how good it was.\n\nThe location is fantastic. You can literally walk to the park in a few minutes which is great. It also means you can really make the most of the hour of early ride-time.\n\nShortly after checking out of the hotel and enroute to the theme park, my son realised that he had left his mobile phone charger in the room. As it was not yet 10 o'clock (check-out time) and I would only dropped our key card moments earlier, I joined the (Long) queue for reception to enquire if we could briefly return to the room to retrieve it. The girl on reception was not at all helpful, and flatly said no. She suggested we return later in the day incase housekeeping found it. so, we duly did as advised, queued at reception again later on, for the same receptionist to say 'no nothing has been handed in' but didn't actually check with anyone or look. When I pressed her, she did offer to call through to housekeeping, but when they didn't pick up the phone, she simply said there was nothing she could do. Not the best service we've received as a paying guest at a hotel, it has to be said, and resulted in us leaving with a sour taste in our mouths. I really don't understand why they couldn't have let us return to the room in the morning. It's a good job we hadn't accidentally left something more important. Still, it has cost me \u00A315 to replace it.\n\nAside from that, we did enjoy our stay. It is a nice hotel and makes a trip to Chessington so much more enjoyable and relaxing. Just make sure you don't accidentally leave anything behind!

Stayed at Safari Hotel in the Giraffe room, overlooking the Wanyama Reserve, as a family of 4. \n\nOn arrival, the check-in was quite busy, which resulted in the reception staff rushing the process, but he was very polite and answered all the questions I had at the time. Room was located on the 3rd floor (top level). \n\nThe room was clean and nicely made up, although a little dark for my liking. It had all the usual anmeties - tea, coffee, access to safe included, television, hair dryer, iron, etc. The view of the reserver was a little restricted due to part of the corner of the building coming out and restricing view from window, but we were still able to see the animals that came into view. \n\nBookings are required for breakfast/dinner and use of splash pool (included for free with the themed rooms). Breakfast in both restaurants include hot food, cereals, pastries and was a good selection (this was included in the package we had).\n\nThe splash pool includes a swimming pool and play pool, with water slide, very good to keep kids entertained when not in the park.\n\nEvening entertainment includes - quizzes, discos and other family entertainment (although I think this is only on Fridays and Saturdays).\n\nI found the hotel staff to be helpful and polite and the hotel in general clean.

We had a complimentary stay here from Legoland Windsor. It was our first visit to Chesdington, we stayed in the Safari hotel Gruffello room. On arrival the reception staff very welcoming and efficient booking us into our room and arranging park passes. Our room was lovely very clean and beds comfortable. We had a great view overlooking the zebras from room 251. The boys had a fantastic time in the park which was lovely and clean deffinately one of the best theme parks visited in the United Kingdom. All staff we encountered very pleasant and helpful both in the hotel and the park. The only negative I can find about our stay is the quality of the foood in both the hotel restaurants which is the only thing to have let the hotel down. Our evening meal in the temple restaurant was a buffet style which offered 2 choices from curry to calvery roast. We booked table for 6pm but we chosen the curry, I had lamb and my partner had tikka both were stone cold. The two boys chose fries and nuggets from the children's menu but I was a little alarmed when I noted staff member handle the replacement nuggets with his hands. Instead of tipping them on the tray he picked them up with his hands without wearing gloves, which is what you would expect from handling food whith your hands for others to eat and far more hygienic. Breakfast was the better from the two meals we ate there, though again not great. The breakfast was in the zafari grill restaurant. It consisted of either continental style breakfast or full English. Our option was a full English but the only choice of eggs were scrambled and very runny, the taste appeared like it was powdered egg which I left. My son is already asking when we can go back to the park as they both had such a fantastic time there. We will be returning but I think I would next time book in a premier inn close to the resort as I feel the food a better standard than the hotel. To be fair that is the only reason I wouldn't stay in the hotel itself on account of the poor quality of food in both restaurants on site as the hotel is very clean and the rooms and staff are lovely there. I would recommend Chessington world of adventures to anyone, you will have a great time there as we did. I hope for both hotels sake that they are able to sort out the food quality in the resurants as this is the only thing I can see lets it down and would prevent returning customers staying at the hotel. The food inside the park itself better than the hotel which you wouldn't expect. Big thank you to Jemima and Georgia for arranging our trip we all enjoyed it, you have a great team of staff both at the hotel and park. We were always greeted with a smiling face.

We stayed in a standard family room, with two day park ticket. Ate at temple buffet restaurant food ok but nothing to write home about. Breakfast in temple also, which was good with nice selection. As child based hotel Bar needs more kid drinks, capri sun, fruitshoot or the like. Really liked the out of hours access to zoo area. It was good to have a post dinner walk with the kid around the animals.

We stayed for one night we were greeted on arrival by a smiling young man who directed where to park then more smiles at reception who were very helpful the room was clean and tidy with a view of the giraffes and zebra we all enjoyed a good nights sleep and where ready to go again thank you everyone.

We stayed overnight on a two day one night package and I can't fault one bit of it. The park was fabulous and the hotel was too, the room was great with a separate kids bit with their own television. We ate dinner and breakfast at the Zafari restaurant and grill and it was lovely (maybe a bit over priced though) but lots of choice. I would. Definitely recommend people to stay here.

Just got home from a great two days at the hotel with the family, nice room and restaurants which you can sit in the outside bar at night and watch the animals, great hotel but the only thing missing was a little fridge in the room, hope to come back one day.

5 \u2B50\ufe0fall Round- so much better than Disneyland Resort Paris! Only stayed one night but it was amazing! My 3 year old Grandson loved the whole experience! Extras like getting into the park 1 hour before opening meant all popular rides done before 10 am! Free gruffalo book given to all young guests from the secret library in the room, the fun and splash pool was really good for the afternoon on arrival. Very impressed with our personal parking space. The food for Dinner and Breakfast in the Zumangi Restauarant was excellent with views of the wild animals in the safari park! The park is really good too, the staff everywhere can\u2019t do enough for you, and make our kids feel very special indeed. Disneyland Paris could learn a lot from Chessington! Will definitely be back thank you xxx.

Almost everything about this hotel is perfect! We stayed only for one night but everything was amazing! The hotel is so well themed with giraffes and African safari everywhere! There\u2019s a huge window looking out across the Zoos safari so you can see zebras giraffes ostriches and more! Rooms are very well themed - we stayed in the zebra room which was overloaded with zebras! Although we didn\u2019t get the savanna view instead a car park the huge public window gives all guests the opportunity to view. The resort has an okay pool with a steam room sauna and splash pool and hot tub (those two not working when we went due to sickness) and although busy is a decent size. The hotel was a disco every night, restaurants and a 1 minute walk to the entrance of the park. After hours until 8.30 ( or two hours prior park closure) are also included which allows you to see part of the park at night as well as an hour before opening in the am - several rides open. Overall I would say the hotel is beautiful and amazingly themed!

We stayed at the resort for my daughters 18th birthday. We had visited the park before but never stayed in the hotel b4. We booked dinner in the temple restaurant for the Tuesday evening. We arrived a little early so went to the bar where we met Ian. My daughters had been collecting the pop badges all day and noticed Ian had a giraffe one. My daughter whose birthday it was asked Ian where he had got it. He explained that you swap them around the resort. He noticed my daughters 18th birthday badge and offered her the giraffe one for her birthday. The food was excellent and the atmosphere is really relaxed in the restaurant. Half way through our meal Ian came over and asked my daughters name. After we had finished Ian came over with a cake and candles and sang happy birthday. We can not fault the resort but sometimes the little things go further.

Such a lovely hotel, we paid extra to stay in a zebra room and it is definitelY worth it. Very well themed throughout the whole hotel! There is a lovely sitting area with an amazing view of the Safari animals. The pool is nice, it has a splash area which was sadly closed due to sick and there is a nice warm 4 foot deep pool, the hot tub was closed but we were happy to go in the Sauna and Steam room which were both lovely. I love that the room has been separated through a bathroom and there is a cuddly toy on one of the child\u2019s bunk beds. After all a very cutely themed and nice hotel, enjoyed my stay.

I visited Chessington safari hotel for my son's 10th birthday the hotel exterior is beautiful as is the hotel we booked dine and Go Ape however I did not realise that it meant that we would be booked into the temple restaurant which was a real disappointment the food was of a very poor quality. I would definitely visit Chessington safari hotel again but will never go to Temple restaurant.

Booked a Gruffalo themed room. All was lovely apart from at every opportunity they are trying to get more and more money from you. We paid \u00A31200 for 2 nights and entry to the park. This amount also included the kids entertainment and breakfast. \nThe room had pieces in there that of course every kid would want to use or play with but if you did it would cost you! \nHotel room is spacious enough, however the beds are extremely uncomfortable. This though I could live with. My main concern is that this is a family hotel and having loud music playing until gone midnight is not acceptable! Even after complaining we were told it will stop at 12 and your the only ones complaining. This I highly doubt but obviously have no proof of this.\nStaff in general are rude across the reception to the staff at the bars and the restaurants. Food is over priced and my food even had to go back at one point during the stay as was stone cold.\nBreakfast was ok, very basic but ok.\nKids clubs were not great either, schedules were cancelled last minute with no warning.\nAll in all I would not recommend this hotel. Your stay would be more enjoyable at the premier in a short distance away and would save you an awful amount of money. \n Tried to talk to staff at the hotel with my concerns but was met with rudeness and to be honest it was clear they did not care.

After reading some recent bad reviews I was very sceptical about staying at the Safari hotel, however I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel itself was nice & clean, the restaurant and bar had a good selection of food and wonderful views of the safari park. However I think the main highlight were the staff, even though most were very young, I cannot fault the service especially the young lady who took my daughter and I to feed the giraffes, I wish I could remember her name but she is a credit to the team as were the waitresses in the restaurant. \n\nMy only criticism was our room, we paid for a themed \u2018room on a broom\u2019 room which was pricey and very small for 2 adults and 2 children but that aside we had a lovely stay and shall be returning.

We arrived at 10:30am and checked in and were told our room will be ready at 3pm, we had a day in the park and arrived back at 5pm to find our room had not been cleaned, for example still messy from the last occupants, bins full, bed not changed etc so it had been missed. The annoying thing was we had dinner booked for 5:30pm and have a 4 year old boy so we were not able to shower or freshen up for dinner as the room was dirty. It was an anniversary treat also so instead of freshening up and changing we had dinner in shorts and sweaty clothes from being in the park and on the rides all day. The room was ready for 7pm then got in and there was not\u2019t a kettle so had to call for one then one arrived and it didn\u2019t work then a very very helpful employee called james Bellamy sorted it out and offered his sincere apologies. The other thing was the room I booked was a standard room in order to have our child in the same room as us but it\u2019s not the room advertised and he\u2019s is a separate area which we didn\u2019t want as he gets nervous at night so we have to move all the beds. We only booked the standard room for the reason of the child\u2019s bed being next to the double which it was not\u2019t. The picture online of the room is not what we got. We are quite disappointed to be honest as it was an anniversary family trip and the evening meal was important. We have a 4 year old boy so meal times and beds etc are important. We welcome any feedback.
