Our group stayed at The Hoxton Hotel as part of the Chivas Masters which is a unique global cocktail competition which sees thousands of bartenders from around the world compete across 14 countries to make it to Speyside & London for a once in a lifetime opportunity to create their own bar, serving whisky cocktails that can’t be found anywhere else.

From the beginning, the staff were exceptional providing our group of 50 with quick check-in after a flight from Aberdeen to London Heathrow and then a bus journey.

We used 'The Apartment' to host one of our cocktail challenges which was the perfect space with great use of each of the areas.

We had dinner at the hotel one of the evenings and the food and service was excellent!

Big Thank you to Louise, Jad, Faye, Sam, Pelly, Viven, Isabel, Lucia, Ewelina and the all the staff for their hospitality!

I stayed for 2 nights, the night prior too and the night of my wedding. Every part of the stay was absolutely perfect. Viven and her team were exceptional right from the start, ensuring that my booking was confirmed, checking if i needed anything in the run up to the stay, making sure that i checked in easily.
The hotel was also fantastic, room was spacious, extremely comfy and nicely designed. Enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar in the evening and breakfast both in the restaurant and as room service was delicious.
I would highly recommend the Hoxton and thank you to all the staff, who made the stay so special.

We booked a ‘roomy’ room and ended up asking to be moved due to being able to hear EVERYTHING from next door. Reception were helpful and sympathetic, saying that it was because of the inter-connecting door that those rooms have, but really.. All the doors slam too - to be honest it’s a very noisy hotel from the reception area upwards. Breakfast bag is a bit of a nonsense - a banana, yoghurt and juice.
On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the reception staff friendly, but those are the only positives I can think of.

Spacious rooms in a modern and elegant design, great restaurant with all the millennial food you are looking for any way. Best part: their top-notch reception. If you meet Sam say Hi – she gave us a very warm welcome and was extremely helpful.

A lively place with lots of energy and cool design aesthetic. My room was basic but all that I needed, and the price was right compared to other London hotels. Nice touch with light breakfast delivered every morning.

Stayed at the newly opened ‘The Horton, Shoreditch’ which is less than 5 minutes walk from Shoreditch tube station. Only 3 weeks since opening so everything looking fresh and welcoming. Lovely smart, casual atmosphere in the lobby area which shared space with the ‘Albie’ restaurant and hotel bar. In addition on the 14th floor is ‘The Seabird’ bar and restaurant which offers rooftop dining with great views of the area. We paid £219 bed and breakfast therefore high expectations of good service and standards expected.
Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, attending the guests with a smile and happy to offer assistance regards any queries or requests. Dressed in casual attire, in keeping with the theme of the hotel.
Stayed to celebrate our 4th Anniversary, doubled up with attending a friends 30th birthday. When booking we made a note of the purpose and it was a pleasure that this was acknowledged with a room upgrade and bottle of Prosecco in the room with a congratulations welcoming note.
Room was a comfortable size, pretty standard for a London hotel with king bed, en-suite shower. Good technology in room with DAB smart speaker radio and flat screen tv with Freeview channels. Tea and coffee self service included. Despite a new building, room decor is themed around a idea of refurbished warehouse with exposed pipes, wiring in corridors and exposed concrete ceiling which I liked but may not be to everyone’s taste. En-suite shower tiles throughout to a high finish.
Nice little touch in the room which includes 5-6 books on the shelf for light reading should one wish. In addition each room is provided with a little bag on the wall for guests to request a small light complimentary snack breakfast of juice, fruit and nut bar. Each room also has a safe and fridge with complimentary water and milk for tea/coffee.
A lovely nice stay in one of London’s newest hotels, and the freshest in the ‘Horton’ chain - recommended and would stay again, however standards and experience of the stay were on par with the cost and therefore I would suggest other hotels could be better value for money.

Not normally one to write a review but was compelled to do so based on my recent stay. Hotel surpassed expectations - great location; good sized rooms (by London standards) but what really stood out was staff and their attention to detail. Special shout out to Isabel who always welcomed me by name, with a beaming smile.

Literally felt like i was getting special treatment! The food quality - reeeeally great, had the mac and cheese chorizo with jalapenos - SO GOOD. Oh. And their sweet potato fries, just WOW haha.
Exceptional stay and last but not least, they got an analogue booth by the reception that takes contactless payments!!! what???
5 stars from me!

Faith at the front desk was a huge help with a package I got delivered to the hotel that needed to be forwarded to my next location. Everyone is so nice & accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

We stayed over at The Hoxton on Sunday evening to celebrate my boyfriends Birthday. We rarely get a chance to do anything fun (toddler issues) so this was a total treat! We walked in to a cool and vibey bar, with low lighting and a DJ spinning. The welcome was warm at reception, and they’d noted Birthday boy which was lovely. We were offered a celebration drink, which we gladly took up and enjoyed in the room while we unpacked. The room was cosy, well laid out and furnished to a really high standard. Everything was spotless and the bathroom was so gorgeous that I just to take a shower!! The Hoxton is in a wicked spot, not far from 2 stations and a great bolt hole for exploring. We had some drinks in the lobby bar then went to Two Lights for eats and Happiness Forgets for too many cocktails. There are numerous bars around, so you’ll find somewhere you love!

Thanks so much for having us guys; we’ll be back!!

Had a fantastic time at The Hoxton in Shoreditch. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon to a buzzing atmosphere with a dj playing and plenty of people enjoying drinks. Such a contrast from what we were expecting!
Gorgeous little room- we had a ‘cosy’ room and it was cosy indeed but perfect for our short stay. Beds were super comfy, I had a great nights sleep (which I usually struggle with when I’m away from home!) The breakfast bags were a nice touch and just perfect to start our day.
You can grab a great coffee & pastry downstairs and the food from the restaurant is to die for. We also enjoyed a few cocktails while here and honestly its worth coming to London just to hang out at this hotel. We made full use of everything it had to offer and will return for sure.

Don't usually take times for reviews, since staff was so friendly (specially Isabel, reception), and the stay was great I thought I would. I loved the rooms and all the little touches like free 'non plastic' water bottles! And the yogurt, juice and banana in the morning...

Downstairs was really busy and had a great atmosphere, as I headed to the room I worked about noise, but there was nothing to worry about, quiet, nice room, comfy bed.

What would make it even better is if it had a little gym space, nothing huge but very handy when you travel often, maybe they will consider it.

I spent a total of 5 nights at the Hoxton and I really enjoyed it. The rooms are small, but well designed and tasteful (at least the one I had) and everything is very clean and tidy. The restaurant and bar / lobby is a scene but buzzy and energetic and doesn't feel like a nightclub.

The lobby area gets a bit too busy with people camped out on laptops staying for hours (they might want to monitor that someway) as it is difficult to find a seat. I don't even think they are staying at the hotel just using the Wi-Fi.

Restaurant food is good, the bartenders are amazing and know their craft.

The big call out which made my stay excellent and will absolutely inform my decision to return next month when I travel for work, is the women at the front desk Viv, Pelli and Faith. Amazing energy, beyond helpful and gracious and always there to help with a smile. This is EXACTlY the type of front-of-the-house energy hotels need to differentiate themselves from the 100s of other 4/5 star boutique hotels out there.

I travel a lot and am in London every few months and this is the first experience I have had with such lovely front desk service. Keep up the amazing work and hats off to you Hoxton for hiring the right people to represent your brand!

My wife and I loved the Hoxton and we're already looking at going back after christmas.
However I'll be mailing them in advance to make sure our room is on the best side!!! The Shoreditch area is really trendy and full of nice places to eat and drink.

The Princess of Shoreditch is worth a visit, and definitely go to the Spittalfields market if you are around on a Sunday. It's also about 5 minutes walk from Old street tube or 10 minutes from Liverpool street, so within easy commute of the rest of London including the West End.

Thanks guys, thanks Vivien and Nickos if you are reading this, we had a lovely visit.

An overnight stay was booked at the Hoxton as we were attending our son's wedding reception in Shoreditch.
Once booked, we received an email confirmation. We were later sent another email to confirm our booking and to request if there was anything we needed. Enquired after a hairdryer and within an hour a reply was received stating that all rooms have a hairdryer.
Check in was easy and excellent, especially in this very busy hotel. The atmosphere was buzzing and we were reassured that if we needed anything, we only had to ask.
In the morning, I called at reception to ask for milk, straight away, two cartons were brought up to our room and again was asked if there was anything else needed.
First class hotel. The breakfast bag was ideal to grab and run.
The hotel is truly a classy, trendy place with plenty of room to socialise and eat.
Fantastic hotel.

A modern hotel with fabulous staff that go above and beyond. Loved the vibe of the hotel, the little touches like the breakfast in bed in the morning was a bonus. We spent some time working in the lobby downstairs after we checked out and found it to be a great atmosphere to relax with a coffee. The staff went above and beyond for us. I asked if it would be ok to get a cake delivered for my boyfriend's birthday in the morning before we got there and when we arrived it had been put in the room with some balloons. He was very surprised and really appreciated it! Paola and Nikos were great!

My hubby & I stayed at the Hoxton after going to see a show in the West End. We were so glad that we ventured away from the obvious West End hotel locations. Great room, great staff, great bathroom and great night sleep. Room service was prompt, tasty and excellent value for money. Free Wi-Fi, complimentary lite breakfast, no nasty hidden extras. Great location, we had a fabulous time on Sunday mooching around Hoxton, Shoreditch and Brick Lane. I didn't realise that the best rates are available if you book well in advance. Now I know that, I'll be on the case and planning a return visit - loved everything about the place! Nikos was a great help for us.

My girlfriend and I booked the Hoxton to explore London. Especially for that purpose we definitely can recommend that hotel, because it is located really close to a tube station and you get a small, healthy breakfast served on your door knob. Perfect for take away.
The whole hotel is designed very stylish, cosy and it is a good atmosphere in there.
The service was excellent too. Every wish we had were fulfilled. Thank you very much for that, Vivien :-)
We definitely can recommend that place and we will stay there again!

Shoreditch is hip and less business busy. And The Hoxton is located is located in the middle of it all - next door to Aësop, Le Labo, A.P.C. and hip coffee roasters galore.
Room was fine in size, nice bathroom, clean and tidy. Bonus: Make your own tea and excellent coffee in the room + light breakfast served on your door knob every morning, if you wish.

I booked the hotel for a Saturday night in London. As me and my girlfriend where down in London to visit friends and had been recommended the hotel by my sister who lives in London. The price was very good for London prices. After being stuck jn traffic for awhile and struggling to find a parking space I made it to the hotel.

It did take a moment to realise it was a hotel as the bar area was pretty busy. I made it to the front desk and checked in which was pretty easy and simple. Was a bit loud with the music but managed to get everything done. I went up to the room which was on the 4th floor. And the view backed on to the hotel next door nobu. Once in the room I couldn’t hear anything of the music downstairs.

The room had some great black out curtains with blocked all the light so we where able to get a amazing sleep. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom had anything you could really need. It also had a little fridge for a fresh milk. Which was great for my coffee in the morning.

The thing that made the room great was the bed. The mattress was the right mixture of hard and soft. The duvet was amazingly comfortable. If I had to mark the room down in anything it would be the pillows.

The air-con in the room was great. Couldn’t really hear it working which was great as some ac units can be pretty noisy.

I’ll definitely be staying here again if I’m back in London.

Just back from the Hoxton with friends where we had a 3 nights stay. The staff, ambience comfort and food was excellent. We wanted to go to other places to see so we were not going to eat in the hotel but decided on the last evening to do so. We were sorry we did not eat earlier as the food and service was excellent. The Hoxton will be top of our list on our next visit. Lucia and Nikos were amazing!

We have stayed at the Holborn one before but thought we would give this one a go. Overall the same...very clean rooms and super comfortable bed etc. Shampoo and conditioner supplied so didn't need to bring any with us. I would say that the hotel receptionists even though efficient were at times off hand and it seemed as though we were intruding on their time if asked a question. The two lifts don't seem sufficient for the amount of rooms as at some times in the evening were waiting over 10 minutes for one to come and people were getting fed up and using the stairs. The free Wi-Fi seems to attract people to come in and use the comfortable seating area even though they are not staying which is a bit much when guests can't find a free seat to have a coffee or meal. The TV in the room has very limited channels which I know to some isn't essential but for the price of the rooms this should be standard. I must say I prefer the Holborn hotel just for the sheer convenience. A walk from there into Covent Garden is about 10 minutes but from Shoreditch nearly an hour. We did hop off and on buses which were plentiful as on a main route. One big negative was that our room faced directly onto bedrooms from the hotel opposite. As the blind is fixed we had to draw the curtains every time we wanted to get changed. Maybe some nets or similar could be put up for some privacy!

Stayed at the Hoxton previously and booked again for the weekend. The hotel is great, perfect location to check out what East London has to offer. solid value all around, rooms are nice, understated and everything you need. Special shout out to the staff, even with the constant bustle they run things exceptionally effectively and proactive and always with a smile. Thanks Vivien especially. Love the little breakfast bag you get - so many great little touches and the hotel bar has such a good vibe. I left my hair straighteners in my room after check-out and the staff have been all over it for me and posting them back tomorrow - thank you Vivien! Will definitely be back.

I stayed at the Hoxton, Shoreditch for the first time this August and I had an amazing stay. I knew the Hoxton from Amsterdam but was not sure if it will be as nice in London. But it totally was. Amazing and funky rooms. A really cool vide in common areas (Can't even call it a lobby as its too cool to be called that!). And most of all the people who work there are just very nice; especially their guest Service Manager; Jad Lian.

One small thing though, there is no gym in the hotel but when in London you can easily go out for a run or walk which worked well for me.

Totally recommend the hotel and will definitely stay there again.

In our trip to London my husband and I stayed at the Hoxton hotel in Shoreditch. We loved the hotel, the room was clean, modern and very well equipped. I especially loved the big shower as well as the morning breakfast bag on our early morning departure!
Since we are a young couple we enjoyed a drink at the hotels bar at night with nice music.

The staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful. We especially loved Nico who gave us all information needed in order to move around London easily and with little money. He gave us many London-insider tips for where to eat and which attractions to visit on our 3 day stay.
If we ever visit London again we will definitely stay again at the Hoxton!

My go to hotel every time I come back to London, right in the thick of Shoreditch - with a cool bar and all those little details that set it above the rest. Great bathroom products, well though out layout, spotlessly clean and really wonderful staff - Particularly Vivien, the receptionist supervisor - I emailed her a couple of days ahead of my stay to ask for early check in and she went above and beyond to make sure I had a room ready at 11am when I arrived. Really impressed with the whole experience.

Great Hotel, Great location. The staff are brilliant spoke to them over the phone a couple of times before our trip they where so helpful over the phone and throughout our whole stay. We requested late checkout at 4pm (£5 per hour after 12 and if you decide to check out earlier your only charged for the time you've stayed, even if you have requested until 4pm and change your mind) which was brilliant as our train back was not until 8pm and once we did check out they held our bags whilst we went for some food and a wonder round. The food was gorgeous we had the full English breakfast which was probably the nicest Breakfast I've ever had. The location is great right in between 2 tube stations (Old Street & Liverpool Street) so easy to get around lots of lovely Bars and Restaurants we particularly liked Boxpark which is a little pop up market and a food and drink place on the terrace lots of different food stalls which where all gorgeous, drinks and live music, plus it was lovely and sunny which was a bonus. There was honestly nothing I didn't like about this hotel and the staff just made it as they where so helpful and lovely which is always nice. Thank you Nikos! Would most definitely stay here again!

This hotel was a last minute booking the night before I departed for London. Not my usual style of hotel but with few options left I booked it last minute. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel however and enjoyed the atmosphere in the lobby area. The rooms were unfortunately very small and basic and come with no luxuries.

Perfect however for a business trip, with a good selection of restaurants and bars in the area. Worth a try if stuck for last minute options.

Very hip and comfortable hotel. The location was perfect in Shoreditch. A very quick walk from Liverpool Street Station. Tons to do in the area. The bathroom was great and the bed was super comfortable. The lobby turned into a busy bar area everynight I was there which was funny. It made the lobby busy and was not the best place for a quick bite to eat or evening drink if you weren't in the mood for club life but it was fun! You could not hear the noise at all as son as we you went into the elevator. Very cool place to stay!

This is a great hotel with excellent service and personal touches. It was not’t partners birthday and our anniversary and they organised complimentary Prosecco in the room and an early check in. The room although small (it was a cosy double though) was spotless with fresh milk and lovely fluffy towels. My only criticism would be the level of rowdy revellers inside the front of house and spilling onto the road outside just after midnight when we returned to the hotel. some very drunk individuals tried to get in our taxi as we were getting out and they were quite abusive. It may be an idea to have some security at the entrance if this is normal.

Me and my boyfriend were celebrating his b-day in London and chose The Hoxton Shoreditch for our stay.
Saying it was an amazing experience it's nothing to say.
First of all, the hotel itself is really stylish, has its own vibe and really chill atmosphere. Everybody is professional but not formal, which makes atmosphere really friendly and easy. Attention to details on the highest level: from cute writings on the fan bag to niche really good smelling cosmetics and music on in the room (while entering)

Secondly, people who work there are very very sweet and helpful. Special thanks to Vivien, as she got to know that my boyfriend will have b-day. Vivien specially prepared our room and very cute surprise. He was very happy and amazed with such thoughtfulness.

last but not least, food was very tasty and not overpriced. We had a nice dinner at the Hoxton and in the morning got little tasty breakfast in bed.

Thank you again for such a nice experience!
We will be back :)

Rooms are lovely, but given they have wooden floors there is so much noise that comes down from people walking in the room above - it made it difficult to get to sleep, stay asleep and then I was woken early in the morning. I won't stay again - there are better hotels in the same area.

First of all, the staff were pleasant and the room was ok. But downstairs, oh dear. We booked for a Saturday night. Went out for a couple of drinks and came back to the restaurant at 9pm to find enormous bouncers guarding the door, loud music playing and loads of drunken people. We sat down in the restaurant where it was too loud to hear what people were saying on the other side of the table, and on the route to the toilets so we had a constant stream of drunks walking past. Food was ok, we ordered a mixed bbq grill to share but it came without any fries (£26 p/h), when we ordered some as a side they arrived as we were finishing the meal and were underdone.

In the morning, the included breakfast turned out to be a green banana, a spoonful of granola and some orange juice, hung outside the door in a paper bag (check out the photo). And only two tea bags were supplied with the room, and as I had a cup the day before on arrival there was only one left so one of us had to go without.

Before anyone accuses me of being a moaning old guy who doesn't like nightlife, I am well used to late nights and loud music, but when you look at the hotel's website and see how it is described there, the reality that we found was very different. I would be very interested to hear from a member of the management to hear their opinion.

Having stayed in the Horton in Holborn I was looking forward to the flagship home of the Horton but unfortunately it was far from relaxing in the main bar. We had dinner in the restaurant but it was so noisy it felt like being in a nightclub which was ridiculous. Surround by drunk, uncivilised yobs. When you get frisked to get into a local bar for a drink then you know that things are bad. What the hell has happened to this area. Finally the concept of breakfast included usually means at least a continental. But at the Hoxton you get a small pot of granola, an overripe banana and an orange juice outside your door. The only commending part of this hotel is the stylish and comfortable design. Overall very disappointed.

Our office building was not operational this week. We needed a meeting room in central London to carry on working and found the perfect solution at the Hoxton. We were very thankful to Nikos and the team at Reception for the quick thinking, solution and hospitality!
