Booked this hotel early in the year when I found out I had won my ballot place in the 2019 Ride London 100. It exceeded all my expectations from my arrival to me leaving for the Ride in the very early morning. I didn’t expect so many fellow cyclists to be staying there ! The hotel had geared it self up with the Ballroom converted into a purposeful bike park complete with racks and security labels bike mechanic and security persons looking after the bikes. at the reception I was greeted with a smile and booked in and received a complimentary goody bag for my cycle ride consisting of gel, energy bar, cycle 100 themed slippers and Epsom salts for a post ride soak !
I was told they would cater for cyclists with a pre ride dinner and an early morning breakfast if I wanted. The room was nice and comfortable and the hotel location perfect for my needs. Easy access to the Docklands Light Railway and under ground services with scenic walks to bars, restaurants and even a local super market.
The hotel Engineer a nice chap who was also a keen cyclist was on hand that evening with advice along with bike mechanics stand water top up and jelly beans !
My wife was staying with me but not riding the event but was still able to relax and enjoy her stay ready to meet me in central London the following day.
Probably the best London hotel I’ve stayed in for service, location and my requirements that weekend. I will definitely come back again and have already recommended the hotel to my friends and cycling club mates.

Reasonably spacious room, great staff, fantastic breakfast. Docklands Light Railway station is just 2 minutes from the hotel. One of my 9 days stayed in Apartment (same property), found it be even better. Overall great stay.

This is definitely our favourite London hotel. Staff in all departments are so helpful and friendly. I’ve stayed at a number of Marriotts in London, but this is by far the best. We’re in the hotel at the moment.

The only negative I can even think of, and this is scraping the barrel - the background piano music in the exec lounge is like water torture.

Stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of the London heatwave - but we were super cool, thanks to hotel’s efficient air con and the services of the excellent staff.
Accommodation was excellent. Staff knowledgeable and attentive. Restaurant first class. And a barman who recognised when a Long cool spritzer was required!
look forward to returning and enjoying the many attractions and amenities close by.

Great hotel. A ballroom to rack your bikes in. Full mechanical support (including jelly beans! ) Security for your bikes overnight. Short trip on Docklands Light Railway to Exel and registration. Lots of nice places to eat out nearby. Quite comfortable rooms for good nights sleep. Breakfast served from 4am on the day of the ride. Easy ride to the start. Cycle superhighway (No.3) makes the ride back to the hotel easy to navigate and safe to ride. The icing on the cake was the ability to have a shower in the fitness centre. Before driving home. Perfect.

Stayed here for 1 night for the Ride London 100. The hotel was fantastic. First of all they went to a huge amount of extra effort with - the ballroom bikestore, onsite mechanic and guide, earlier breakfast start, welcome bag on arrival with goodies for the ride. Overall they went to a fantastic effort and it really was hugely appreciated and made the stay. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. I was on the 1st floor and all was fine. Overall fantastic effort by the team in a nice hotel made this a great stay.

The team at the Marriott cw have the Prunier down to a fine art (even if you maybe don't) from the moment you arrive (bike carried up the marble stairs for you so that you don't slip in cleats), bike racking in a secure area, complementary bike mechanic on hand, there's a great evening buffet & they lay on race breakfast from 4am. Brilliantly thought through- who would guess that the gm cycles? ;)

I was taking part in the above cycling event and decided to stay local to the start.
Very impressed with this hotel. The moment I arrived staff took my bike off me and carried into the hotel ballroom where it and many others were being stored. A mechanic was on duty and like all the staff was keen to offer any help.
The hotel is modern clean and well run, the staff smartly turned out and very courteous. My room was quiet and clean. The bathroom looked a little dated or simple but it was modified for disabled guests.
I ate in the Manhattan Grill on both nights-very good normal London prices.
I cannot fault my stay I would return.

Stayed at this hotel last week for 5 nights. Loved the look and feel of hotel. We really enjoyed he area of the canary wharf. Outside of the city centre and much less crowded area. You can walk to the jubilee underground station from hotel in about 5mins. Area had a few restaurants we ate at and enjoyed. Hotel was clean and guest rooms were large. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

I echo the other reviews left after August 4th 2019, Ride London weekend. While I know the Manager is a cyclist, the whole team are set up to make our stay a welcomed and customer focused experience, true Marriott values. From arriving outside, bikes taken to the secure bike store (The Ballroom), the bike mechanic (A member of staff who changes his day job), the goody bag of slippers, energy bar and bath salts, jelly babies pick n mix and breakfast starting at 4am for the early start times, nothing is too much trouble. This is the 4th time we've stayed for the Ride London weekend, we couldn't stay one year due to the hotel's other commitments, other hotels just didn't cater in the same way, e. G breakfast didn't start until 7am (although they tried their best when a few of us asked). Chapeau Team Marriott, you complete a great weekend. Thank you!

I booked the hotel for the evening before the London Prudential 100 ride. I was going to be riding for Prostate CancerUnited Kingdomcharity. The hotel is only three miles from the Olympic Park which is the starting point for the ride and so very convenient in terms of location.

I rang a few days earlier to ask where I could store my bike overnight and they said there was a dedicated space that had 24 hour security.

When I got to the hotel I was overwhelmed by the efforts they had made for the many cyclists they had obviously staying there. Martin was the chief cycle guy and he and the rest of the team were so helpful. Racks for the bikes. Mechanical help if needed and generally so geared up for the cycling guests. All at no extra fee or charges. It was unexpected. And as a cyclist I got a goodie bag of slippers, epsom salts (for a post ride sothing bath) and an energy bar. Nice touch

And when service is unexpected then that makes it special. They also had a special breakfast starting at 04:00 for the riders with very early starts and for £10 which I though was great value. so thank you to Martin and all the staff for accommodating my fellow cyclists and making it all so very easy for us. See you next year!

This venue embraces the Ride London 100. Staff helpful with carrying bikes and storing for the night, I had a nice quiet room with a fantastic view and received a Ride 100 goody bag on arrival. The staff even dressed to embrace the clientele arriving with smart Polo shirts and ride 100 logos. Staff worked Long days but with a smile and said it’s a special day. It never felt a burden to be a cyclist. Early breakfast available too they are very accommodating. My favourite part of my stay (as in hospitality I personally received) was returning to the hotel to collect my car. I grabbed my shorts and a T-shirt desperate to change and thought I’d pop to the hotel. The Doorman asked if I was staying and I said I checked out this morning but would love to change in the loos if that’s ok. He said he can do better and escorted me to the leisure changing room with a shower. What a gent, what a star. If I return to London I’d consider this venue, if I do ride 100 again I would certainly use this venue. Thank you.

Date stayed: April 2006
review: The bed was the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in!!!!!

The breakfast was a multiple choice and there was something for everyone and it all tasted so good, and the staff were very attentive.

It was only seconds from the London Dock Railway which was included in the price of an underground ticket.

All in all I would give this hotel 10 out of 10.
