Liked: The enteriour in the room, it's green-gray cimbination just right. Although it was a single room I found everything very handy and practical. The shower is amazing to compare to the other hotels for the same price.
Disliked: It was very difficoult to find the Hotel entrance with car in the town centre. The air conditioning was working constantly very loudly during the night just on the wall if the bed. It's not very comfortable.

We stayed 1 night at the Thistle Express, at a very reasonable price. The room was comfortable but small (as expected). The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom looked quite shabby -- leftover spots on the tub from where non-skid dots had previously been --...

Disliked: The elevator was very very very slow and the put-me-up bed had a wafer thin mattress.

We stayed one night in the Thistle Express prior to flying to Europe on EasyJet. The room was quiet and clean. It was in the town of Luton, next to The Mall. Luton itself is grimy and pretty grim. While the hotel served it's purpose,...

I chose this hotel as an affordable option for an overnight stay in Luton before an early morning flight. Considering the price I paid (approximately £50) you can't really complain. It appears to be an old hotel that has undergone renovation to become a Thistle...

Pleasant staff and rooms, surprised not to find a kettle or any cheapo instant coffee in the rooms. The only bad part about it is the infuriatingly hidden nature of this place. The signage is non existent, do not trust the satnav as it won't...

Liked: It was comfortable, plenty of room for a single, had a bath, good coffee, good breakfast including. A well designed room, plenty of power points, mirrors etc, usb points at every table downstairs
Disliked: There was a droning noise all night that disrupted my sleep. The key card didn't work when I arrived at my room, it was very late at night & it was frustrating to have to go down 5 floors again with my case, to sort it out.

Right in the heart of Luton. Parking costs a bit extra but your vehicle is right by the front door. Two people, two breakfasts, free WiFi, all facilities for the bargain price of £39-00. Great staff. Highly recommended.

Liked: Clean & warm room, comfortable bed and an iron & ironing board and free tea & coffee at reception.
Disliked: No tea & coffee making facilities in the room. We left early and therefore missed breakfast. Getting to the hotel by car was a challenge, Sat Nav tried to take us through a no entry pedestrian street. We were told that the road layout has recently changed & advised to drive through the bus lane to access the hotel.

Liked: Breakfast was great and despite being busy, the staff managed to top up the food without much delay. Loved the free coffee in the reception area. Loved the ironing board in the rooms. Loved the TV!!
Disliked: There was a bit of a wait to speak to the receptionist at check out. The little stations are cute but there needs to be at least 2 people at reception. The parking was very pricey for Luton. There doesn't seem to be an efficient way of securing the car parking space on the hotel forecourt. There were spaces when we arrived at night but were told that they were 'probably' free because someone had left to return. There should be some sort of record for logging out and in of the car park.

Disliked: Stayed on the top floor and had wind rattling and screeching through the air vent in the bathroom all night. Had to get up in the middle of the night to block it with a towel to dampen down the noise. The wall beside the bed had stains on it which can only be presumed to have been some kind of bodily fluid. A dreadful place to stay and one of the worst nights sleep of my life.

Liked: This is an excellent hotel to stay in because it learnt from the mistakes of the previous Menzies Strathmore hotel who ran the place a few years ago. Everything is brand new and quality. Room was comfortable and reasonably priced compared to other hotels around Luton. Breakfast buffet was great and the innovative beverage dispenser that serves you coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, at the touch of a button and is free 24 hours in the hotel lobby is a plus for the hotel.
Disliked: Some questionable-looking youths hang around the shades in the recess not far from the main entrance to the hotel on the short walkway to the Luton Mall.

Liked: The beds were clean and the room was a good size and a comfortable stay for the one night I needed. Down stairs lobby is nice and clean. Right in the middle of town and so close to the train station which was so ideal for me. TV provided in room price which was nice. An iron was provided and the actual room was clean and well presented. No dramatic hotel horror stories from my stay but it could of easily been perfect with a few changes.
Disliked: It said on the website that there was a Long mirror in the room. However the room I was in did not have a Long mirror. Me and my friend were getting ready for a wedding which was very annoying as it was one of the reasons we booked the room. The staff I initially raised this to tried to resolve the problem. However the staff member who checked me out when I told him after he asked if there was any problems completely dismissed the issue and laughed at us for even bringing it up. The reason I booked it was to get ready for a wedding so I didn't find it to be an unusual request especially since it was clearly stated on the website and in the confirmation email. (Needless to say it was not the end of the world) Secondly the bathroom was not cleaned properly, behind the door there was dust and hair when we got there and muddy foot prints on the tiles which clearly hadn't been cleaned. The bathroom isn't huge so it wouldn't take Long to give it a good clean. Disappointed to see that it was not done properly.

Liked: It was clean and very tidy, the iron was a very good iron not cheap hotel ones usually used. Hairdryer was good too so this made things easy in getting ready.
Disliked: First thd location of hotel is in the mall. so no parking, limited space in hotel car park n cost is £10 a day for ur stay. Secondly the service is very very poor. I always book with booking.com and never had a problem. But on this occasion I travelled 4 hours and went to check in and problems not just 4 me but all my family that booked in and many otber customers. Lastly to top things up I booked for 2 adults and 1 chikd and I got a room with 2 single beds and no bed for 3rd person. Then when I complained I was told I only booked 4 2 ppl. Showed them my booking confirmation then I was told booking.com booked 4 2ppl. Then I was asked to pay a further £10 for a separate bed if they could find 1. Taking into consideration just paid £9.40 for parking for the stay. When I refused to pay and asked to speak to manager a bed was available and no payment was required.

Liked: Nice big room and very good breakfast on the morning.
Disliked: Nightmare to find, very poorly signed and nobody answers the phone when trying to call the hotel for directions to the location. Also booked for two adults and one child, but when arrived it was only booked for a double. The receptionist did upgrade us to a bigger room, luckily this option was available and at no extra cost. also £10 for overnight parking, seem a little steep.

Liked: Helpful and friendly staff who recommended a good value restaurant nearby and organised a set fee taxi to the Airport, Comfortable and fresh new bedding and decor. Location perfect if needing to catch a flight out of Luton.
Disliked: Water pressure in shower was terrible, it would be great if this could be addressed. (You had the stand over the bath spout to get the water to fall on you). The entrance to the hotel from the train station was not easy to locate as google maps reports to go to the Shopping Centre. My husband and I didn't feel particularly safe in the area. for example. Groups of people sitting in the dark areas underneath the car park near shopping centre entrance, people approaching me in the court yard area near the shopping centre entrance where you can access the hotel.
