Hi Kenny

Thanks for taking the time to share your review.

It's a shame to hear you found the room to be far too cold for your stay and that this didn't improve at all.

I've raised your comments with the Hotel Management so they can look into this further and ensure any issues are reported to be rectified, as this certainly isn't the experience we want for our guests.

We hope you'll give us another chance in future for a much better stay, however if you do have any issues, our Reception Teams are on hand 24/7 for our guests and would have been happy to see if they could provide a portable heater or room change to resolve this and make sure you got a good night sleep.

Kind Regards

Amy

Recommended Hotel very central. Clean tidy room, shame that it was a disabled room, when neither of us are disabled. we found the bathroom a little low down for us. but for the price of a very central london hotel it was OK. we did not eat in the cafe/restaurant as being central London there are a million and one places to eat The outside of the building is being done up so is currently covered in scaffolding but dont let that put you off.

This hotel has an amazing location but that is the only positive. The room is cold, the shower temperature and water pressure keeps changing which is very annoying. The hotel could do with some renovations. The floors in the hotel squeeks which kept us awake at night. Our room had one small window but there were builders working right outside so we had to keep the curtains closed. The toilet paper is another complaint, a machine with loose pieces of thin paper. I will not be staying here again.

Picked hotel for location to theatre - was pleasantly surprised by everything about the hotel - staff extremely helpful and pleasant, room very clean and had everything we needed, plenty of space, breakfast was amazing. Peaceful evening- no noise at all from anywhere. Will definitely go back next trip to London and would happily recommend.

Lovely staff. Perfect location. Great breakfast. Good value family room. No sounds from busy square either. Family room was quite spacious too. Nice and easy to get to from the tube too. Lots of options for meals and activities in walking distance.

Excellent location. More expensive than you would normally pay for a premier Inn and room smaller than usual but is central London. However clean comfortable, very quiet considering location, and hèlpful staff.

I would recommend this Premier Inn. All round great value for money with incredibly helpful and friendly staff.
Excellent selection of hot and cold food on offer during breakfast as well as a very extensive choice of breakfast drinks

This Premier Inn is located very centrally and easy access to most places. We walked from Waterloo and whilst there we went to Carnaby Street, Oxford Street, Soho, Cambridge Theatre (most of the theatres are in this area), Covent Garden. We took the tube to the other side of the Thames for a cream tea but walked back. The room was small but adequate, bed comfy and extremely quiet - good night sleep. The breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly.

One of the most expensive Premier Inn's we've stayed in but understandable due to the fab location. Was expecting to hear noise through the night but actually very quiet. Great breakfast too! Would stay again.

We were going to the theatre and needed somewhere local. This was less than 200 metres from the theatre. Friendly and helpful staff, nice clean room, comfortable bed, tea n coffee facilities. It was perfect. The following morning breakfast was great. Good choice of everything. Can't fault anything.

In the heart of Leicester Square, chose this location to be near the theatre, but lots of major attractions close by too and tube station a couple of minutes walk,
You expect a certain standard at Premier Inn and this one met our expectations. Family room small with 2 teenagers but again what we expected and we all had 2 comfortable nights sleep, which is all we wanted as so much to fit in. On going remedial work at this hotel so be sure to keep your curtains closed during the week as there are likely to be a workmen on the scaffold at the window, but don't be put off. Will definitely visit again, can't beat this for value and location. Can drop bags pre-check in with a ticket system, another added bonus to let you get out to the sights!

I think he'll raise this hotel ratings in the future.
Btw, Best of luck for everyone, take care.
Hopefully see you soon again.

Centrally located between Piccadilly Circus, Chinatown, and Trafalgar Square, we could not have been more pleased with our stay at, and overall experience with, the Premier Inn at Leicester Square.

The hotel staff were professional in every way; the breakfasts were delicious, fresh, and plentiful; the room was quiet, clean, and well provisioned; the beds were comfortable with duvets suffucient to keep us warm on the chilly spring nights. The free WiFi was never slow and did not drop the connection. The shower water was hot with good pressure, and the bath towels were extra-large! The hair dryer was of good quality. There were plenty of electrical outlets. All-in-all, the room was exactly as advertised on the website.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to London, and would plan to stay again, should we return.

We often stay in Premier Inns as they’re so consistent – you know just what to expect. The Leicester Square hotel was no exception with the added bonus of a great location in the heart of theatre-land. I was expecting a smallish room as is often the case in London but it was a reasonable size with comfortable bed, settee (which presumably converts to another bed if required) and bath/shower. Free wi-fi. Leicester Square itself is a lively area but the room was quiet - the soundproofing must be good. We ate breakfast in the in-house restaurant which was fine. There was the facility to store our luggage both before check-in and after check-out which proved useful. The only negative was that the building was being refurbished externally so was covered in scaffolding, but this didn’t impact on our stay.

Very good hotel that, in my experience, is cheaper than other hotels in this central London location. this hotel is ideal for exploring Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus and is a short walk away for the shops on Oxford Street.

I have stayed in many Premier Inns over the last decade, most are what you’d expect, clean decent accommodation. This is not, the rooms are stuffy, small and grubby, the staff disinterested. Overall a very poor experience to the extent that we did not stay the night and booked in to a different hotel. The location, in Leicester Square, was good.

This hotel was perfectly placed for a night out in Leicester Square and a visit to the Hippodrome Casino. Considering it's location, we were not bothered by noise late at night. The staff who checked us in and out were superb and so friendly and helpful.

Rated 3 out of 5 :
Overall the hotel and particularly the location was excellent..No problems, what I would expect from Premier Inns where you know the standard. My only complaint is being slightly mobility impaired was the car park.. It is about 200 yards (metres) away and a difficult walk. However its possible to drive to the hotel up until, I believe noon, where it would be possible to leave luggage. This is not notified on their advertising blurb.

This hotel is right in the heart of Leicester Square perfect for theatre land and all Central London attractions. It has all the benefits of a premier inn including great value breakfast and clean comfortable rooms.

Staff were delightfully welcoming and efficient. Room small but spotlessly clean, swipe card entry and lifts made us feel secure, and to top it all, refund on breakfasts when the receptionist learned it was a birthday outing. Situation perfect for theatre trip, galleries and shopping.

Ideal position for a stay in London, good sized room and bathroom, I would have liked to be able to see something from the window besides building walls and scaffolding but as we didn’t spend too much time in the room it was not’t a problem.

We had a terrible experience with this property. We stayed 7 days and on the final day before our departure several expensive electronic items and personal items went missing from our hotel room. We had used the items the night before so we know we didn't lose them or misplace them. They were left on the nightstand and were gone when we came back that afternoon. We suspect housekeeping may have helped themselves or left our room open and allowed someone else in. Terrible experience all around.

The front desk manager was NO HElP. In fact, he refused to give us the name and phone number of the manager. After we insisted he gave us a name of someone who left over a month earlier! Corporate customer service was a joke, and our emails were ignored. Took over a month and an email to the CEO to even get a response! Never again!

Breakfast was mediocre at best here. If you like your eggs fried in 2 inches of oil, greasy hash browns, and dry overcooked sausage this is your place!

I will admit, the location here was excellent for access to theatre and attractions and tube but not worth it in my opinion if you have to worry about your personal belongings while on vacation.

Room had scuff marks, black patches, chipped skirting boards, marked carpet and a lumpy bed. The entry to the 5th floor was via a door which should have required a key to open it - this didn't work. Anyone could come in off the street, into the lift/up the stairs and into the corridor and rooms. Felt unsafe, glad not travelling alone!

Just got back after a 2 day stay at this hotel for a surprise birthday/theatre break,
The location of this s hotel for a theatre trip will not be unrivalled, we did Harry Potter and Only Fools and Horses both in a les 5 minute walk
let’s get to the hotel, we arrived before check in time due to the show start time, we were able to put our case in storage and pre check in all in one go.
The room that we had was spacious for a Capital city, it had a good bedroom space and a separate area for getting ready to out
The bathroom room was spacious and had a separate double shower space which I prefer too a shower over a bath.
We pre booked breakfast which was spot on, there was a good variety of everything.
Set you up for the day
A little tip, the restaurant is next to reception which you think is closed later in the evening, which does double up as a 24 hour bar. After walking around all the day it was a nice surprise.
All the staff at this hotel were spot on, I would highly recommend this hotel as I will definitely be returning

.

I've stayed here a couple of times. Last week upon arrival I realised I had booked the wrong day. As I had paid in advance without the option to amend a booking it seemed apparant I was going to have to rebook and lose what I had paid for the night I wouldn't be there. Actually what did happen was the chap on reception I belive called Ameer, went above and beyond to get me on the phone with customer service to rectify it for a small fee. He also recognised I was in a rush and had business to attend to so sat me to one side to get other check ins out the way. Thank you Ameer, you are a true professional and a credit to the company.

Great location, good value considering the Location, clean room although dated, comfortable bed, good security, service poor rude reception staff, was told on arrival after 2pm that we had to wait further 30 minutes however then used self check in facility in lobby which gave me room keys straight away. Beware if you go out for breakfast on check out day your key is cut off before 12pm ours and many others keys didn't work after 11.45 when trying to collect belongings.

Do not stay in room 711. It’s the tiniest room (attic I think). There is nowhere to hang clothes. 2 hooks on the wall. Not 1 drawer. Nothing. Disgraceful. We are here for 3 days and I have no idea where to put anything. To live out of a suitcase is not ideal as the clothes will be crumpled.
There is one small towel and 2 bath towels.
The bathroom has a shower with no bath as I have come to expect from premier.

Staying overnight at this hotel was “interesting”. As I knew they were having work done, I asked for a quiet room. They put us on the 8th floor, in what I can only describe as a “Garrett” room. It was small, but just adequate, however the two, almost ceiling high windows were dreadful, we could not see out of them unless we climbed onto the bed !!, The curtain rail was broken and the curtain hanging down. On the bright side, it WAS quiet, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom adequate though dated. There was a small desk/table but no chair. The heating was very slow to respond to any change, the room being quite cold. Definitely not up to the standard of rooms I have stayed in with Premier Inn in the past.
On the plus side the situation of the hotel is great, very central to all we wanted to see,and very near a tube station. The staff were brilliant and were the saving grace! They were helpful, pleasant and efficient.

Normally you know what you’re getting with a Premier Inn. This was not to their usual standard. The cards on the doors didn’t work at least 4 times throughout our stay despite keeping them away from other bank cards etc, outside the room there was lots of scaffolding and the view over Leicester Square was not so good. The room didn’t seem as well prepared as other Premier Inns either. Having said that, they are all minor and the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean. The location is fantastic as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 :

We have just been at this hotel for 3 nights, 8 people in 4 rooms.

It is true that the location is simply unbeatable. so, for a short stay when location is essential, it is difficult to find something better for a reasonable price.

The size of our room was great for 3 (parents and 8 year daughter), main bed was comfortable, the one for our daughter not too much, and temperature was perfect.

We had no noise at all from the street and very little from other rooms. so, yes, the hotel is very quiet.

We had some views to Leicester Square and we could even see the London Eye..through the scaffolding that covers the whole building

But the reasons I can only give 3 stars are the following:

1. We were not made aware of the reforms that keeps the facade totally covered by scaffolding. And there were building works in the street, by the entrance. When I raised this to the staff, I was told that this must be announced in the website. It isn't. Not fair.

2. Bath. As some others have already written here, it is very difficult to step in and out the bath.

3. Hot water is not as hot as you would like, particularly early in the morning. It is hot, yes, but not enough, at least to my taste. And the fixed shower head doesn't help to have a pleasant shower..

4. One of the lifts was out of order most of the times, and if you read other reviews, it is clear that this has been like this for many months! I contacted the hotel prior to my visit, concerned by the comments I have read here, and I was assured both lifts were working. Another lie. And, have a look of the picture of the place where you are supposed to pass your room card to access to the rooms! Anyway, in all fairness, I have to admit that we never had to wait too much for the lift.

6. SECURITY. I am sorry but this hotel is not safe at all. The entrance door opens automatically as you approach to it and we never had to use our cards to get to our rooms. This is totally unacceptable, particularly when there is no doorman and no staff controlling who is entering to the hotel. In my opinion, this is the biggest issue of the other.

7. STAFF. The staff is friendly and willing to help...if you find them. This hotel is clearly understaffed and the same person has to do the check in, check out, answer the telephone, etc. Again unacceptable.

As you can see, all the problems above could be easily sorted out if the hotel owners had the will, but most of these problems have already been reported before and they have not don anything yet.

Would I return? Not sure at all. I will read the reviews when our next visit to London approaches, and will see if things have changed...

At 10am due to unforseen circumstances I had to find a hotel in Leicester square area.so pleased I went with this hotel Value for money, excellent room, not massive but big enough for our needs. We arrived and had used the online check in so just had to input and confirm details on arrival, room key dispensed we went straight to our room,411,overlooking the Square.Yes there is scaffolding up atm but that did not spoil it for us.Key is needed to enter hotel at night and to use the lift passed the check in area.As a mother and daughter travelling alone we felt very safe !so near everything and always someone around in the square so even when I went out alone for a cigarette I didn't feel worried Breakfast was lovely and we had no trouble being seated even though we didn't book, although during busy times I would suggest if wanted you should book in advance Cant fault our stay,it does what it says on the tin!

Visited this Premier Inn last week for a one night stay in London. It’s in a fabulous location, 2 minutes from Leicester Square tube station and right in the heart of Leicester Square. Also within walking distance of Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and central attractions like Buckingham Palace and the London Eye. There’s also a big range of restaurants in the vicinity. I don’t normally leave reviews for chains but had a really good experience here. The first thing to say is do not be put off by the fact that this hotel has scaffolding up as there is work being done on the outside of the hotel. This didn’t affect our stay one bit and I wouldn’t want people to be put off by that. The staff are great and there’s enough of them which isn’t common in hotels!!! Despite being in Leicester Square there was no noise overnight and coupled with a comfortable bed, a good night’s sleep was had! Breakfast was good...we went down at about 9am midweek which is their busy time but we were quickly seated. Great choice of food and the hot buffet was very good. Crispy bacon, well cooked sausages and no soggy hash browns! It’s making me hungry just thinking about it! It is expensive to stay here, but then so is everywhere else in central London! It was one of the more reasonable hotels, considering it’s on the edge of Mayfair where you need a bank loan to stay! I really rate it for a short, central stay!

Magic Mike stay- 4 rooms, 8 guests for a weekend. Lovely location and central to most things - although the scaffolding did obscure the view which made it a bit difficult to find. Lovely breakfast! We had 4 rooms booked and unfortunately the rooms were over three floors so not that close to one another but did not spoil the weekend. Lovely welcoming staff and would recommend to others.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel in Mid February, this was probably the quietest hotel, stay we have ever had and we were right in the middle of London, walk out of your hotel and a few yards to your left is China Town and to your right is Leicester Square. Good sized comfortable room, clean and warm, will hopefully return some day.

The Leicester Square hotel belongs to the Premier Inn chain of hotels, and occupies a period building on the edge of and overlooking Leicester Square in central London. The location has easy access to a number of tube stations, within a ten minute walk, close to Oxford Street, within easy walking distance of Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, and the theatre district, and right in the middle of China town with its many restaurants open untill late in the evening.

The hotel is comfortable, if not basic, but when in London, staying inside the hotel is not on the agenda, and given the location of this hotel, and the price of the rooms, there is probably nowhere else that gives such value for money.

This hotel is highly recommended for tourists/visitors to London, of all ages and family size, and although the dining within the hotel is very limited, it is understandable given the competition outside, be-it breakfast, lunch or dinner, there are so many options within a very small radius from the entrance door, serving huge portions at unbelievable prices to keep you going for the entire day.

One piece of advice if you are arriving by tube train with luggage, alight at Covent Garden and walk the short distance, this tube station has lift access, whereas the nearer Leicester Square station does not.

Went to London to celebrate a big birthday and chose the Premier Inn London Leicester Square because it was very central to the 2 main activities planned...as well as the rest of London!
This has to be the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in; considering the location and the fact that they were drilling right outside under our bedroom window and we didn't hear it until we actually went outside.
The room was really clean and comfortable; and the staff were friendly.
We didn't eat in the hotel during this stay because the choice of places to eat in Leicester Square is massive.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has planned to see any shows in the West End as they are within walking distance. Also to anyone who wants to explore London. Convent Garden, Soho, The Mall, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and loads more attractions are within walking distance.
