We really enjoyed our stay here. It was not too far away from the action- we walked to the Prince of Wales theatre in 20mins. Holborn station was less than 5min walk away. The room was well presented, with all we needed to hand. We didn't use the restaurant as we went to the cafe across the road for breakfast but we did hang out there for an hour or so in the afternoon and it had a lovely ambience...they even kindly turned the music down for us for a telephone interview. Big shout out to Alan on reception who went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay, lending us his personal umbrella for the night when we decided to walk to the theatre!!! What a dude. Thank you :)

good all round experience would definitely stay there again location is ideal most places of interest are within walking distanceand the accommodation was good. we had booked well in advance of our stay and were able to take advantage of a really good deal considering we were staying close to central London

Excellent all round - very happy with the experience, the service, the hotel and the location. Maybe the check in could be a little more personal (there was one receptionist and a number of guests waiting to check in (the auto check in did not work and would not accept card payment)). But otherwise all good and the sea-bass was excellent too!

Overall it was good, not too far from the underground easy to find. Felt safe and secure, the bedroom was tired and was in need of updating. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Ideal location for picadilly

Great location, about 10 minutes to tube station and 20 minutes from Oxford Street (walking distance). Lovely size room, nice staff and nice area. We had read bad reviews about cleanliness of room but we had no complaints and had fresh towels on both days, very enjoyable stay.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights and the hotel is generally good.
The family room was quite small but was adequate for sleeping in.
We had breakfast at the hotel and usually the Premier Inn breakfast is excellent but it was not as good as usual at this hotel.
We went down to breakfast at 10.15 and although breakfast was not supposed to finish until 11.00 there was not much left from the cold buffet. The hot buffet was well stocked and there was plenty of cereal but not much else left. When we asked if there was the possibility of restocking some of the items they just shook their heads. They seemed much more concerned with clearing up ready for lunch rather than keeping the breakfast stocked until the advertised end.
Overall a good hotel but my tip would be go early for breakfast.

I stopped here for work, but also because of its location to Covent Garden and the theatres. The staff were great. Extremely welcoming. I paid £220 for my room. I know it's London, but I've stayed in many Premier Inns where it's cost £60-£80 in other places in England. I've also stayed at the Thistle down the road which cost me £160, which is closer to Covent Garden. I stayed here as the Thistle had no rooms left. However, saying that you get exactly what you'd expect from a Premier Inn. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and you get a good night's sleep so can't fault it on anything about from the price.

Perfect hotel and location to visit London City. All good, except the cleaning service. Nice room, no noise, comfortable and modern beds. The penalty was the cleaning service, the first day so unfortunate that they even left the beds practically undone. A pity, because everything else was very good. I would definitely go back except for the cleanliness issue.

Booked a 2 night stop at the premier inn in Holborn London - 1st night my daughter sad the bed was uncomfortable so the second night we switched so she could get a better nip sleep .... I had the same issue which I thought was just a poor mattress- however on inspection the centre of the bed base was totally collapsed - I explained this to reception in the morning but they didn’t seem bothered ..... no apology .... simply a grunt .... disappointing

Located in Holborn, this hotel is good for easy access to tourist attractions in central London. The reception area was often unattended (surprisingly so at peak check-out time) and the furniture worn and tired. The room was well laid out and clean, but do not expect any toiletries beyond a soap dispenser. The mattress felt well slept on. Breakfast costs extra but is substantial Staff were a bit glum. You get what you pay for.

Just checked in to the Premier Inn in Holburn to find that we have been booked into a wheelchair accessible room. Low bed, no divider between shower and bathroom floor, displeasingly vacant.

No phone in the room so need to walk downstairs to talk to reception. The (friendly and polite) attendant informs us that the hotel is fully booked so can't move us for two days. She is not able to help me log my poor experience with the hotel, so I am putting it here.

Would avoid this hotel at all costs:

I am informed that I have booked an accessible room but photos on the website did not reflect the layout of the room and bathroom.

Room has a smell to it, cigarettes? mold? Not sure but it is unpleasant.

Room is dirty. Crusty rings (of what?) on the sideboard, dusty, frayed carpeting, scuffs on the walls, literally smushed raisins in the rug.

Room is expensive. The cost is 220 pounds, far more expensive than the value offered and competitors in the area. Infuriatingly, my phone tells me I can have this room for 89 pounds on another day.

Stay away.

Location brilliant and staff were fabulous, but this is not a hotel to suit families. The room is a standard double with a single and camp bed squeezed in. Very poor, windows that wouldn’t open and cleaning questionable...

£140 a night I expect better rude bar staff with a poor attitude unhelpful rude and not polite or honest. Room poor cleaning standards.
We went for a night cap I ask for a pint only to be to Told only got cans
No thanks I said I’ll have a bottle of Doombar and two Bailey on ice we walks away comes back opens the beer want a glass Er yes please it was if I was asking for his wallet. What about the Bailey? Got none
Er there is a bottle behind you he rolled his eyes shook the bottle pours it into a shot measure that didn’t fill the measure I said you know what I don’t want your drink we are going somewhere where we will be made welcome he shrugged his shoulders
We turn away and he gives the opened bottle of beer to his lady friend at the end of the bar absolutely shocking attitude rude unhelpful and un professional and dishonest
Premiership you should retrain your staff
In attitude professional attitude and honesty for £140 a night you should be ashamed at the state of the room just look at my pictures to see the truth.
Even Dick Tupin wore a mask

We stayed as a family of 4 - 2 adults, 2 kids aged 7 and 9.

Positives first....

Reception Staff friendly and informative, always greeted us when passing.

Hotel is in a great location, handy to Holburn tube station but also within easy walking distance to Covent garden, Picadilly, British Meausum, Rainforest cafe etc.
Lots of shops and places close by to eat.
Super comfy beds, clean and tidy.

Now for the negatives...

The family room was small with little wardrobe space, certainly not enough for a family of 3 for a 4 day trip.

The temperature was programmed to go no lower than 17 and the windows don't open... this made our room very stuffy - sometimes unbearable.

The Restaurant was chaotic at breakfast time and I felt sorry for the staff on duty - far to busy for the number of staff available. Monday morning was by far the worst, plenty of empty tables but none clean, no clean cutlery when we were seated - it was madness. This did improve slightly by our last morning but still chaotic. The food itself was lovely with lots to choose from. The cooked items were replenished but sometimes the wait was longer than it should have been.

All in all we had a pleasant stay but the room temperature would put me off staying again. I know it's February but a bit of air conditioning would have been perfect!

Stayed for one night on Wednesday 14th Feb. Check in was quick as usual, and room a typical Premier Inn room, clean, tidy and good enough for what I wanted. I booked a table in the restaurant for 8.00pm. I got back to the hotel earlier than expected and asked if I could eat earlier. They said before 8 as we are very busy then.
I got to the restaurant at 7.30pm and there were only two tables taken!! When I enquired that I was told you were busy the waiter said we have a party of 12 coming and have only one chef on!!!
Anyway I was able to pick where to sit, ordered my drink and studied the menu. Ten minute later I was ready to order, this is where it became a farce. As I was about to order the waiter said, we have no burgers at all , no gammon and no skewers! On a Wednesday!!!!! That removed almost half the menu. In the end I ordered the mixed grill, however because they had no gammon they would give me an extra sausage, wow what a swap that is.
Two puddings were also missing.
It’s a very poor show to be short of food at anytime, but in the middle of the week was very poor management.
Would not stay here again if that’s all they can offer for dinner.

Just returned from a night here... corridor and room smelt of stale cigarettes!!! Did not realise quite how bad this was until arrived home .... everything we took smells horrendous ! Including coats, bags, boots, having to wash everything we took with us.
WILL DEFINIATELY NOT BE RETUNING !
(1 circle is to high a rating)

Stopped here for 2 nights (cost c£100 per night). Well located in a quiet road off the main roads and only 5 mins from Holborn Tube station and St Pauls, Southbank, and Covent Garden are within walking distance. We had an efficient and warm welcome. The room was of a reasonable size and comfortable with kettle and tea/coffee plus a hairdryer. Bathroom had a nice walk in shower with dispensers for soap/shower gel. Little outside noise noticed. Didn't take up the offer of breakfast or evening meals as there are plenty of nice places to eat out around the hotel and in London. There are local Sainsuburys, Coop, and Waitrose shops close by for buying items, if required. Hotel was great on last day as we checked out early but they were happy to safely store our bags for free so we could still see more attractions and collect them for our return journey home later.

Enjoyed London Holborn Premier Inn location, good food, nice employees, overall good value for money! Great for business and pleasure, within walking distance to reach out nice places to visit like the British Museum, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, etc. Also, close to some universities in case you are studying. I highly recommend the stay in this cosy and quiet place in busy London.

Last evening when I came back to my room and prepared to have a shower but found that all the towels were damp and not dried. I went down to the front desk with the towels and asked for a replacement. Unfortunately and surprisingly, the front desk staff refused to replace them with dried ones and said that they had no access to any clean towels and I had to wait until the next morning when the housekeeping people came to work!

Another great stay at Premier Inn. The breakfast was tasty and my request for eggs poached to order was no problem to the staff. We ordered two large glasses of wine in the bar and were advised that we got the rest of the bottle which was very good value! Any staff we met were very courteous and pleasant..

I have stayed in the hotel before with business however this was my children’s first to London and it didn’t disappoint. Large family rooms, great sound proofing so not only did my children not wake anyone up they actually slept in it was so quiet. Most of all though the staff are so lovely and great with the kids. Nothing was too much. Well done Holborn we will definitely be back. X.

First time staying in this particular Premier Inn, check in was quick and the staff very pleasant and helpful - some of the best service We ever received at a hotel, including a lot more expensive ones!

The rooms were in good condition and very clean - no complaints there.

We didn't use the restaurant, but I think we all know what it would be like - they're all pretty much the same where ever you go!!

The location is great and most of the sights are within walking distance. Would highly recommended.

Special shout out to Rena - customer service isn't hard (but most places seem to make it seem so) and she excelled - fabulous and a real credit to Premier Inn.

The Premier Inn at Holborn proved to be an excellent choice for a 2-day trip to the capital. Easy to find, within easy reach of Tube and bus routes. The service from staff what excellent throughout our stay. We had a lovely breakfast at a very reasonable rate and could have filled our boots to bursting should we so wish. so much choice!Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Even though we were on the ground floor facing the street, we were not disturbed by noises of people or traffic Would highly recommend to anyone going to London for theatre or days out on business or leisure.

The room was neat and very quiet, decent bathroom facilities, bed very comfortable! Reception 24h, nice staff. Only thing I hadn't enjoyed was breakfast: no vegetables at all, food greasy and not quite fresh. And the restaurant is situated in basement, so no daylight. Maybe dinners were better, but didn't try. It's ok for businnes travellers, plenty of places around to go to for a nice food and entertainment.

Pretty good stay. We thought the bed linen too worn and needs replacing. I haven't got much else to say but the Tripadvisor review insists I write 200 characters so I am just filling the space, like a school essay!
