Needed a taxi to Heathrow. The concierge only gave us one choice at 100 pounds. Went to a very nice man in the business office and he helped us book a taxi with Five Way Cabs (a mini taxi which took care of all four of us and all of our luggage) at 50 pounds. An absolutely terrific man who was very pleasant and helpful. We stayed there two nights and the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was very good.

We visited here for my daughters birthday weekend. \n\nGreeted at the pull in by friendly staff. \u00A390 for valet parking was very steep! But ensured visit was as stress free as possible. \n\nI had upgraded to a junior suite with a city view. The room was lovely but my city view was another building from next doors hotel that was a few meters away - there was no view. We were on the 14th floor. Room was spacious and had nice touches like mood lighting, electric curtains and 2 televisions. \n\nI had arranged for there to be a balloon and some juice etc for my children to arrive to. The hotel agreed but the balloon was the only thing that was there - I reported the missing fruit platter / juice on two occasions and it never arrived - there was also supposed to be a birthday card for my daughter but this was not\u2019t there either :- ( this would of been a lovely touch if it had arrived. \n\nWe arrived to 2 bottles of water and 2 macaroons and no 2nd bed made up we had to ask for this even though the room was booked for 4. We also had to request enough towels for 4 of us as there was only enough for 2. This was all dealt with promptly. Basically the room is meant for 2 people hence the 2 tea bags, 2 coffee, 1 pack of biscuits, 2 mugs etc. These weren\u2019t all replenished once we used them either, there was just a few extra tea bags after night 1. The toiletries in the bathroom were replenished after the first night though. \n\nBathroom is lovely, bath is massive - nice to have separate shower / wc inside the bathroom too. Robes and slippers are also a bonus to use during the stay after a busy London day. \n\nBeds are comfortable and our room was quiet we couldn\u2019t hear people walking around etc\n\nBreakfast plenty of choice, beautiful view - (arrive early to get a window seat). Staff in restaurant are lovely and welcoming. \n\nHotel is clean and modern. Staff are friendly. Check in and out is easy and stress free. \n\nlocation is good pretty accessible to most things. We used an Uber which pulled up outside each time. \n

My sister-in-law and I stayed here at the weekend with our 2 and 3 year old. After a Long day out in London we arrived at 8pm. Given that check-in was from 2pm we expected to be able to go straight to our room and put the children to bed. \n\nWe went to the desk to check in and were told by the receptionist that she needed to speak to a manager - no further explanation was given. After about 15 minutes we had to ask whether there was a problem. She told us that they didn't have a room ready and were trying to find one. There was no apology and the receptionist was abrupt. We were eventually given a key and made our way up to the room with the kids, prams and bags only to find that it hadn't been made up since the previous guests and was still dirty, bed unmade etc.\n\nWe made our way back to reception where we were told that we would have to wait for around half an hour while housekeeping got it ready. The only explanation that we were given was that the receptionist was very tired and made a mistake. We explained that this was not acceptable and that we had two young children that we needed to put to bed. The receptionist disappeared into the office without saying anything. She still hadn't come back out almost 20 minutes later and so we had to ask another receptionist what was going on. \n\nThe second receptionist looked at the system and said that she could give us a different room but would need to arrange for an extra bed to be put in. She couldn't say how Long this would take and when I asked she confirmed that it was a single bed. I explained that we had two children so an extra single bed was not really suitable and that if it was going to take more than half an hour it was no better.\n\nAt this point we asked to speak to a manager and the second receptionist disappeared into the office. She came out about 15 minutes later (still no sign of a manager) and told us that she could give us a room the same as the one we had booked and would get housekeeping to bring some bedding up for the sofa bed. \n\nWe took the children up and got them ready for bed but half an hour later there was still no sign of the bedding for the sofa bed. In the end, after we rang reception, the concierge came up with the bedding and made the bed. He did apologise and explained that they were short of housekeeping staff. It was now nearly two hours after we had first arrived and 8 hours after check-in time! \n\nDespite all of the above we were offered nothing by way of apology and there appeared to be no genuine regret for the situation. Overall the service was appalling.\n\nI should add that we had more family staying in the hotel who arrived earlier in the afternoon (after check-in) and had to wait around 45 minutes for their room. When they arrived at their room there was someone else's luggage in it and even though they had requested two cots for their 1 year old twins they hadn't been provided. \n\nThe room itself was ok but it need of some repair. There was a big crack in the full length mirror on the wall and the paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom. \n\nAlso, if you are travelling with children at the weekend and intend to use the pool you may need to book a slot in advance as only 6 children are allowed in the pool at one time. It isn't really suitable as a family pool and should probably be for adults only.

Our daughter and I stayed at the Park Plaza London Riverbank this weekend, to celebrate our joint birthdays.\n\nFirstly, I\u2019d like to say that the hotel is stunning. The escalators and the mood lighting all around is beautiful. The views overlooking the Thames were incredible. We really enjoyed the views overlooking Westminster, watching the Eye and the in-room tech and design was fun. The gent working in the pool area was friendly and very informative on pool safety. He deserves good feedback as he made us feel welcome and safe.\n\nUnfortunately, the good doesn\u2019t outweigh the negatives of our stay. If you go by my reviews of other locations etc, I\u2019m not one to moan. \n\nWhen I booked our room, I had booked a Thames view room. I then called 2 weeks ago to add breakfast to our booking. Upon check in yesterday, we were given our key to a second floor room. Despite saying I was in pain from carrying a heavy case that broke and a bag all over London, I was not\u2019t offered help to our room. We get to our room and find it was not\u2019t the exec room with Thames view I had booked. I then had to lug our tired 7 year old, a heavy broken case and heavy bag back to reception, hands red raw.\n\nI was passed to a lovely manager who helped despite him quietly saying to his colleague that he\u2019s technically not here as was not\u2019t on shift. I really appreciate the time he put in to help us especially as it was on his time and not work time. I was told that when I called to add breakfast, the system had downgraded us and the member of staff hadn\u2019t realized and that there were no Thames view rooms left.\n\nFollowing the loss of a relative last year, I have been more than ever, attempting to cross dreams off my bucket list. A stay overlooking the Thames was one of the things on my list. I asked if they could ask the Park Plaza at Westminster if they had any instead. The manager left for a few minutes and then a new manager (a very friendly French man who I enjoyed talking to) advised us that they\u2019d managed to find an exec room with a Thames view and that they\u2019re also allowing access into the Exec lounge. However, because our child was under 18 and it had just passed 6pm, we couldn\u2019t use it until morning, but can then use until checkout.\n\nWe got to our room and it was beautiful. It lived up to my expectations so I appreciate the management sorting this error.\n\nUnfortunately, when we went to the executive lounge for breakfast, we were turned away as our lounge usage didn\u2019t include breakfast. No one stated this the night before when it was offered to us. So we were given use of the lounge but couldn\u2019t use it last night because it had passed 6pm and couldn\u2019t use it today for breakfast. When were we actually allowed to use it? And what is the point in offering this as compensation when we weren\u2019t allowed to use it? \n\nAfter being turned away, I spoke to a manager at reception who hesitantly gave us breakfast access. By this point, our daughter and I were so frustrated that we grabbed a couple of croissants and left. \n\nI don\u2019t appreciate being made to feel stupid when it was a Park Plaza colleague that messed our reservation up and then no one explaining to us when (if we could at all.?! ) use the lounge. It was embarrassing and time consuming all around.\n\nWhen we checked out, the lovely gent asked how our stay went. Unfortunately, I explained that I have never had a hotel experience this bad and even Travelodges in the past have provided a better service than we had received. He was very apologetic as he took my full payment in cash.\n\nWe don\u2019t get to go away often and this stay really put a downer on our lovely day sightseeing.

The hotel is very dark. Lifts are dark, hallways are dark. Some rooms (like mine) face other rooms so you cannot open your curtain unless you want to be looking into someone else's room. The service is probably the most woeful of any hotel I have stayed in. Housekeeping is poor. They do not clean room properly, they do not restock toiletries and they take forever to get to your room - I have stayed here 5 nights thus far and on average they have taken over 6 hours to get to my room after I have switched on the housekeeping sign. \n\nTonight I ordered room service - after an hour it had not arrived so I called them up. The person taking my order took down my room number incorrectly so they were waiting for my complaint call to know who ordered it. These things happen so I was not overly concerned. A fantastic location with good facilities let down by cleanliness and attention to detail. Price can change dramatically close to stay date. This hotel could Be amazing especially if you have a view over the river but of course you need to pay more for this.

Got upgraded to the room with a view of Web-minister Abbey. Good comfortable stay with nice staffs, also has the Big Bus stop close by. A good worthy stay with eating option within and walking distance of the property.

Stayed at Park Plaza couple of times, and it was great experience. Everything was good, I had issues during my last stay but I came to know they upgraded the facilities, so hopefully when I stay next time I will enjoy more.

I booked this hotel as s surprise for my husband for our first wedding anniversary. The hotel was lovely the room was a big room with a view of the River Thames Big Ben and the London Eye. We had robes slippers and lovely little Elemis shampoo conditioner and soap. Also the young girl when we checked out was really friendly ( can\u2019t remember her name but she was originally from Leeds) The only problem was when we arrived just after 5pm (and it was heavy rain) we were told our room was not\u2019t ready and to come back in a hour so. This meant our room was not\u2019t actually ready until after 6pm which when hotel policies state check in is 2pm I thought 4 hours late was not\u2019t very good. This is the only fault but unfortunately with it been a surprise it did spoil it a little.

Fantastic setting, reception very welcoming and room was fantastic.\nBreakfast had a wide selection of choices. The time we went for breakfast was very busy, however it didn't hamper the service and availability of options.

Excellent. Children wanted to spent time in hotel instead to visiting museums. They loved the pool and were fascinated with the automated curtain closing. We loved the smell that greeted us when we entered the hotel.

Poor cleaning\nThe staff attitude is not good\nReasonable location\nThe pool is in bad condition contaminated and dirty with food and hair\nWe did not pay for the high price we paid for 2 rooms were not ready for us even though we booked more than 3 weeks in advance and arrived in the middle of the night we had to sleep in separate rooms and replace rooms in the morning. We order bed And for our 5-year-bed but in practice the bed was not provided for the 6 nights we were there, we had to ask for towels and sobe for three people every day all over again. In short it was disappointing with the high value we paid.

This was a great location for using the tube and walking to some yummy local pubs. The breakfast buffet was great and the bar/bar food were great the day we visited. The concierge staff was awesome. Beds were comfortable, the room temperature was easy to regulate and the room was clean. Loved the hotel's focus on 'being green'.

Staff at reception not welcoming and interested in helping out. It took many calls and reminders for security to replace a non-functioning safe. Mini-bar was not filled. Bathroom odor and broken toilet seat needs fixing.

What a find in the heart of London. Great suite/room with very comfortable double bed and also the pull out sofa bed was excellent. Crisp white linen and fluffy white towels with good size living room and bedroom and everything you would need in the bathroom too. We had an excellent view over the river Thames and houses of Parliament and it was quiet and peaceful (Room 941 on the ninth floor). As a treat, although the breakfasts run right through to 10.30, we ordered room service (only an extra \u00A35 as breakfast was included in the room price). Well, we had two coffee tables groaning with very tempting and delicious fare and it had all been freshly cooked and was still hot. Check out is not until midday, so lots of time. Having left our case at reception we then went up to the swimming pool on the first floor (best to book as only 12 allowed in at a time). A very clean and airy space with a decent size pool, sauna, steam room and showers. There were enough loungers there and once again it had a very calm and relaxing atmosphere, to just stretch out and enjoy.\nOn the whole an excellent way to spend a night away in London.

My family and I had the most amazing stay on the 25th August for the bank holiday weekend.\n\nStaff excelled in all areas and went above and beyond what any of us had envisaged. From the moment we arrived, we were blessed with wonderful attentiveness and kindness on all fronts. I have thanked the hotel personally via a private email, just because certain individuals made this a stay to remember for years to come.\n\nI'd like to thank all involved on behalf of myself and my family, including my wife daughter and parents. We look forward to visiting again in the not too distant future.\n\nThank you!

I liked this hotel a lot. The room size was good and it was very clean. Location is excellent, only 10 minits walk to Vauxhall underground station. However the view from the window was not nice and the breakfast would be more varied.

Lovely hotel with welcoming staff. Had an amazing sleep whilst staying as bed was first class and no noise. The only negative was the location as apart from the bus stop opposite the hotel you have quite a walk to tube stations.

I enjoyed another very comfortable stay at this fabulous hotel, with very attentive staff, great facilities and very convenient location. As a regular guest at this hotel, I was very well looked after and can\u2019t praise the staff highly enough.

Hotel overall was good but with high price points you expect better! The hotel need a good clean through out. We had a river view room which we paid extra for and the room was amazing with built in air conditioning and Curtins control with big 42 inch television but again this was let down by the fitness of the room. Hair in the shower the carpet need a good hover and also a thick lare of dust that under the bed.

We stayed at the Park Plaza Riverbank for one night, staying while we went to see Ariana Grande at the O2. Ideally located hotel for visiting the O2 via the riverboat, which leaves from the nearby London Eye, which you can see from the hotel. We stayed in a fabulous suite on the 14th floor which was perfect for the four of us, including two kids under ten, who loved it! We didn't get chance to use the spa, but will do when we return! Great choice.

The hotel is quite impressive on arrival, just a short walk from Vauxhall tube station along the riverbank. However, whenwe tried to check in we were told our room was not ready and it seems many others were waiting too. We were given a complimentary drink whilst waiting and so we sat in the bar with pleasant views across the river. When we returned 30 minutes later, the room still was not ready (and still many waiting). Expressing my frustration (check in was 2pm, now 430pm) the receptionist did try hard to find us another room which he did, seemingly an upgrade but only one double bed (I was travelling with my daughter and booked two single) with the promise of another bed being added for us. I agreed and was promised 'exceptional river views'. Our room was on the 11th floor so we excitedly boarded the very flash and fast lift and arrived at our room. It was much smaller than expected but clean and comfortable enough. The view?! Our main view was straight into the opposite hotel, next to opposing flats with balconies so not too much to look at! The river, where was it? If you pressed your face against the glass and peered round to the right, you could see a section of river between the two buildings! \nThe extra bed? Never arrived. \nThe breakfast was ok, not the best or freshest I've had and we had to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated each morning. \nThe service at this hotel is good, and the reason for 4, not 3 stars. The staff are very attentive and friendly. \nThe pool is lovely. Very clean and pleasant with a steam and sauna room and a nice attendant. \nThe location is a little further out than I thought, and a 30-40 minute walk to Covent Garden and the theatres. We ended up getting taxis everywhere. \nOverall we had a nice stay. The staff made it, the hotel I have to say is a little disappointing for the money you pay. \nWould I stay again? Probably not. For the money I am sure you could find a more central location with better views.

This was our first time in London so we relied on our travel agents recommendation, this hotel served our needs and was easy to get to from Vauxhall tube station, a short walk from Southbank and easy access to buses and trains. We had a package with breakfast included and were very impressed with the dining room, the lighting scheme throughout the hotel was amazing, the bed was comfortable and the room size was generous. The staff were not really very helpful or friendly but we enjoyed our time there regardless.

review: The hotel was very modern. We stayed in a executive room very nice even had a dvd player. To our surprise the stay included breakfast in the executive lounge the waiter was very good and cleared things as son as you finished them. We also had a drink in the bar on the ground floor very impressed. Would stay again without a doubt.We did request a room with a view and we didn't have this but apart from this very good.
