Not the most luxurious of hotels but as you only need to get your head down prior to a flight its OK. Food on site is decent but again nothing special. I thought it was good value for money and certainly clean enough.

Decent value for a basic no frills stay before dropping our daughter off at Gatwick (10 minutes by car) for an early flight. Yes, it could do with new carpets and a bit of a fresher decor, but hey it was adequate for our needs and perfectly acceptable. I booked at short notice (1 day before) and it was only \u00A375 for 3 adults in a family room - and you can cancel without charge up to 2pm on the day of arrival. That\u2019s not bad.

My wife booked this and I had no idea what to expect, room was what we expected seemed clean we were only there for 1 night and we where pretty tired, We went to the restaurant which was clean, it was not busy and got served quick, portions not huge and basic cuisine but it is what it is. I would not stay in this Hotel for more than 1 night as its basic and has no luxuries at all.\nWe booked the mini bus to the Airport \u00A318 return for 3 of us which we thought was good. Bus was very efficient and it was waiting for us when we returned but I can see that if you missed it there would have been a bit of a wait. \nOur car was fine no issues with that at all.\nWould use again but only for Airport stopovers only.

Great location for bus stop right in front to cities, airport, and train. Room was nice great internet nice television breakfast had a sur charge but equate nice shower lift was not working placed in down stairs at no extra charge airport pickup and drop off at extra charge.

We have stayed here many times. It is convenient for the airport with good parking facilities and holding your car until you return at a very reasonable rate. The staff at 24 hour reception are always polite, helpful and efficient in organizing your parking, ordering taxis and getting you to your room. The room itself has a separate room with bath and shower. The facilities are good, twin beds (if asked for), sofa, large desk, television, ample clothes and luggage space. We always seem to have a quiet room and spotlessly clean.\n\nso what's the gripe? It is the combined bar and restaurant area. Its excruciating slow and the food poor quality. In the evening you get get a lot of people dining but typically only two people serving who combine this function with managing the bar, serving the drinks and ordering the food. One of the two staff also cooks and serves the food. Not for the first time here the food took almost 2 hours to arrive. This may, of course, be deliberate to encourage bar sales but its frustrating. The food when it arrived - breaded scampi and chips was thick with dough and the chips oven cooked - cool, flabby. In fact it was awful. My wife had her first two choices from the menu refused for being out of stock. She took, finally, fried camembert which she food ok.\n\nThis hotel deserves a high star rating but is completely let down by the restaurant and food - oh dear!

Rude staff - Long waiting time at reception seems to be a family run concern Room had been smoked in and stank! and car had been used - no apology or valid reason to concerns or complaints am now dealing with Holiday extras\nAvoid at all costs.

We paid through Holiday Extras to leave our car here for two weeks and stay for one night. Our stay was pleasant enough but when we returned we waited a very Long time for the shuttle bus to come to the airport to pick us up. When we got back to the hotel our car had mud all over it and a big gouge on the bumper. Plus the back middle seat belt had been plugged in which it was not on our journey there. We asked the manager to look at the car and he said it was like that when we left it, which it absolutely was not. We asked if his insurance covered damage to the car in his care and he said we left it at our own risk. He said we could write as many bad reviews as we liked - he did not care. He then walked away form us and would not discuss it further. I would recommend -. Or if you do take lots of photos of your car as proof and also of the mileage. We were told that the car had stayed in the car park. But if so where did the scratch and the mud come from and why was the extra seat belt plugged in? Used as a taxi for two weeks maybe? Terrible. I would have given zero if I could.

We booked a twin room and was given a double room. \nStaff were friendly.\nRoom was clean. Bed was not comfortable. No blackout blind, was woken up at 5am by bright daylight.\nBreakfast was average. Sausages were dry, mushrooms over cooked and hash browns were very hard.\nParking was free which was good.

Arrived late but barman was willing to serve us and other late arrivals without any fuss. The receptionist ordered transport to Gatwick without any problem. Breakfast very good and all of the staff very helpful\nWould stay again\nThe only problem, drove past as satnav had location about 500 yards past the hotel, the outside sineage could be bigger.

review: Definitely the worst room I have ever endured for an overnight stay. The base of our bed was completely broken on one side and as a result we got no sleep prior to what was a very early morning flight from Gatwick. Staff couldn't have failed to notice that the bed was not fit for a human to use, but we were too tired to attempt to change rooms by the time we realised it ourselves. The room was filthy and to be honest we would have been better off if we had done the journey without an overnight stopover at all. I have submited a letter of complaint and will be interested to see what response I get.

review: Modest Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. An excellent country pub style resaurant in an Oak Beamed Lounge. Rooms are basic but we found them to be clean with plenty of space. We will return.

review: Tattiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Whole place in need of updating. Carpets worn, passage ways smelt musty,room 26, tiles in shower at the shower head end have brown grease on, carpets badly stained, skirting boards had and still had at end of 2 day stay coffee stains on. Bed linen not changed and bed not properly made. Altogether a very bad example of hotels to visitors from overseas
