This hotel is grand and the grounds are beautiful however I did not think it was the right hotel for airport parking.\nOne it\u2019s hard to park there if you arrive late. Secondly there was little option to eat there as there was limited facilities unless you booked so they could not cater for the number of visitors coming for the airport parking - no bar snacks either -so I felt it was quite sterile. We had to go out to eat and did not really want to go out after driving etc. This hotel would be better set up as a proper country hotel and then become more of a 4 star with better facilities as it is an amazing hotel in its building and grounds etc.

Hotel & staff very helpful and accommodating. Christa at front desk was most helpful printing off our boarding passes for the next day. We had a wonderful king bed, these are hard to come by inUnited Kingdomlocations. Lots of doubles, maybe queens. But very few or next to no double double rooms. My husband & I won't work in an American style doublE - not happening. I opted for the breakfast on-line, and up charge, but lots of selection available. The one down side, I was not aware there was no elevator, we had 2 large suitcases and I needed to sort out our airplane weights. Christa at front desk helped us lug the monsters upstairs. Wonderful, picturesque setting. Estate property, has been updated and freshened up to 2019 standards. En-suite was a little tight, but water pressure and temperature made up for not been a king's en-suite.\nWe had our supper in dining room, food quality and preparation was excellent. Be prepared dining out prices in theUnited Kingdomaren't like across the pond. Not just here but extensively across theUnited Kingdomwe found it pricey. The quality of food has improved dramatically. My only complaint, my meal, a wonderful burger served with fries was great, but - the corn-on-the-cob, was like cattle corn (who has corn in May). Forty years ago, I was offered corn-on-the-cob as a veg, Brits don't get corn-on-the-cob. I had asked for a supplemental salad, because I knew before it arrived that was gonna be horrid. so, my one downside complaint is about a vegetable. I am a bit persnickety about my food. The craft beer I had and my husbands cider were both great. All the boxes were ticked and I forgive the chef and hotel for the corn-on-the-cob. The property, to my understanding is in the midst of installing a lift (elevator).

ii would never recommend this hotel for anybody looking for a place to celebrate an important event such as your only child's wedding ! We booked the Stanhill Court back in September 2018, 2 rooms for 2 night May 10th 11th 2019, for my wife, my son who was getting married at a nearby venue and his best man. On April 6th 2019 we even booked and confirmed taxis with the general manager to take us to our wedding venue and there was no mention of what was to come.\n\n7 days before my sons wedding, I received a phone call from them saying that they couldn't honour our booking as they had refurbishments that had over run and had to move people out. This was a blatant lie as other friends of ours who were told by Stanhill Court in January that they were sold out for a wedding at the venue on may 11th. When I said that they should move somebody else out of the hotel they said that they couldn't my wife and I sat furious waiting for them to call back when I called te Hotel manager who said he \

What a lovely little gem we have found. Ideal for overnight stay before our flight from Gatwick with parking. Compared to other hotels with overnight stay with parking this actually came out cheaper than many others. Excellent value for money, our room was really comfortable and huge, with a 4 poster bed and en-suite. We had an evening meal which was excellent (although just be aware they add a 10% service charge that we were not aware of, so they were tipped twice! ) The meal and service was brilliant.\nSlight noise from planes taking off from Gatwick airport, but just became white noise so didn't spoil our stay, although the gardener cutting/strimming grass outside our window quite early the next morning did wake us! Maybe he realised the early time as he did stop! However, an absolutely stunning setting and beautiful house, a great way to begin our holiday. Car parking on site so the car was left exactly where we left it, although in certain times/conditions I believe it may be moved if needed. Hotel booked a taxi for us which is \u00A310 each way if you use the same taxi firm. On your return to Gatwick you ring them to pick you up. Taxi's were on time both ways. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Booked for an overnight stay with parking for 2 weeks. After much researching for airport parking, we came across this little gem. Hotel stay with parking was cheaper than just paying for separate parking so decided to stay overnight. Excellent value for money. \n\nHotel is lovely, more a country manor house with gorgeous grounds. It was also great to read all about the history of the property. Its beautiful with some amazing original features.\n\nHad a lovely friendly welcome on arrival. Rooms are really modern, warm, and comfortable, has everything you need. En- suite is large, clean and has complimentary toiletries.\n\nHad an evening meal due to the local pub being a few miles away and after checking it was no more expensive to eat at the hotel. Food was very reasonably priced, service excellent and really lovely.\n\nThe parking is within the grounds of the manor house. Very secure. We returned from holiday with no problems at all. Taxi to airport is \u00A310 each way.\n\nWould definitely use again if flying from Gatwick.

My wife in I have used this hotel for the night before our flight before as it includes 8 days parking. The hotel was excellent value for the money then but now that the hotel has been taken over and newly renovated is exceptional value for the money.\n\nIt's in a stunning location with a fine dining restaurant in a conservatory which we ate in and enjoyed a lot.\n\nIt has a really smart hotel bar that's not over priced and the bedroom are really clean and comfortable with lovely showers.\n\nWe will definitely be staying in the Stanhill Court whenever we fly from Gatwick again.\n.

The grounds and that hotel itself are beautiful. We decided to stay a night here after visiting London with our 3 small kids. We booked on hotels.com and got a great rate. We were departing from Gatwick. The hotel can be called for a cab, they get a flat rate of 10 pounds. Upon arrival they were nice enough to store our bags as we were early. They brought us 2 roll always and said we could check out at 2 because our flight was later on. We went to lunch while we waited to check in. Upon check-in they let us know that they would be charging us an additional 30 pounds for the kids and 10 pounds per hour for the late checkout. She had a hard time figuring it out on the computer and got a co worker who tried to charge us 60 pounds for the kids. I complained at that point and they settled on 30. Later on we ordered dinner which was great but had a similar experience. I ordered a beer while they prepared the food, the tap ran out and the bartender said he didn\u2019t have time to change it yet so he gave me a half a beer. At checkout I found that he charged me for it. We were late for breakfast which ends at 10. The staff said please help yourself to some toast and they brought us out some juice. You have to take a cab to leave the grounds so we decided just to eat the toast and wait until we leave. At checkout they charged us for the full breakfast and the full beer. We also left earlier than 2 but we\u2019re charged for the late checkout still. They were friendly but honestly I felt Nickle and dimed while I was there. The grounds are beautiful and had they just been upfront about the extra charges I would have given them an excellent review. As it stands I\u2019m afraid I\u2019ll remember feeling cheated more than anything.

Fabulous hotel, superior quality. Wonderful bar, restaurant and grounds. Lovely staff. Faultless and good price. Would highly recommend. Wonderful safe place to leave your car and only 10 minutes to Gatwick by taxi. Their company price is \u00A310.

Just a short overnight stay for us before Gatwick flight. However, the most welcomed I have ever felt in a hotel. From the reception staff to bar and restaurant staff, I cannot fault. A gorgeous building set at the end of a Long tree lined drive and set in beautiful, peaceful grounds. You would never now you\u2019re so close to the chaos of Gatwick. Left car parked at hotel for duration of our holiday and taxi booked by hotel for airport transfer for \u00A310 each way. Easy! Oh, and dinner was fabulous \uD83D\ude01. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough and have already rebooked for our pre flight accommodation and parking.

We have investigated your complaint of someone walking into your room, and we found this was a new member of staff, who unfortunately entered the wrong room. We have recently welcomed new members to our team who are still learning their roles, however, we have ensured that additional training has been put in place so that this does not happen again. \n \nAs you have mentioned, we are currently undergoing a major refurbishment, completely restoring Stanhill Court Hotel to its former glory. Unfortunately, this does not come without some disruption to our usual high standard of service. We have taken your comments on board regarding the heat in the bedrooms and we have now adjusted the temperature accordingly. We have also addressed the issue of works starting early on a Saturday with the construction company.\n \nWe always receive such great feedback on the cleanliness of our bedrooms and I sincerely apologise this was not the case during your stay. Your comments have been passed to our Housekeeping Manager who has discussed this further with her team. \n \nI hope this does not deter you from staying with us again in the future. \n.

Stayed here as we were on a two day course and it was a perfect stay! The hotel is beautiful, it was in the middle of being redecorated but this didn\u2019t affect us! The room was very reasonably priced and well decorated! We didn\u2019t use the restaurant or have breakfast, but the bar was reasonable! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, well worth a stay!

Although the hotel was having a bit of a face lift, it didn't really impact on our stay. Only gripe was that the pillows were a bit too firm, but that's a personal preference. \nlovely looking building, helpful and professional staff. Food was excellent and fresh. Room was spacious and comfortable (apart from the pillows)\n10-15 minutes to Gatwick Airport.

A lovely hotel undergoing some work currently but does not effect the stay! Gorgeous breakfast and lovely modern rooms containing everything you need. They have a lovely open log fire with a grand entrance in reception. We left our car there for 5days which worked fantastically just hop in a cab (booked on arrival) \u00A310 each way to Gatwick. All staff were friendly and incredibly helpful from booking through to leaving nothing was to much trouble.
