| Photos of Regents Park, of of London's most popular parks. The park today (previously called Marylebone Park) has evolved from the 1811 plans of John Nash, crown architect who designed an ambitious private residential development set in a picturesque parkland setting for the "wealthy and the good". The park is split into several sections: Marylebone Green to the South, Holme Green to the West, The Regents Park main area to the North, Gloucester Green to the North East, Cumberland Green to the East and Queens Mary's Gardens in the central Inner Circle. |
