Description:
The Quality Hotel, Welwyn
is within something of a triangle between Luton, Stansted and
north London, making it convenient for all 3 locations. Welwyn itself is smaller
than a town and is classed as a village with a population of around 4,000
residents. Running along its eastern edge is the A1 which links up with central
London to the south or up to Newcastle to the north east. The surrounding county
is Hertfordshire, and nearest major town is Welwyn Garden City. Just under 4
miles to the north and also by the A1 is Knebworth House, stately home and a
venue for many large vents including rock concerts. A local place of interest is
Welwyn Roman Baths (0.3 miles), which is open to visitors and where the remains
of an old roman bathhouse can be viewed. Major shopping is located at the
Hatfield Galleria Centre (5 miles) about
a 10 minute drive away. The Jacobean House and Gardens of
Hatfield House is just under 5 miles from the hotel.
