If you travel south the M23 leads down to the south coast and Brighton. An alternative to using the road network is the mainline railway station under Gatwick South terminal, you can be in London Victoria within 30 minutes. Nearest town is Horley at less than a mile while the larger town of Crawley at under 3 miles to the south offers far more in the way of amenities.
