The Novotel is actually 0.7 miles (1.1 km) from the terminals although the name may imply its closer, however it is still one of the closest hotels to the central area. It is almost opposite Tunnel Road which is the road leading to the terminals. The local area does provide some facilities, for example a McDonalds is adjacent to the hotel, small supermarket nearby, bowling centre within 0.5 miles (0.8 km) and there are several local pubs and restaurants close by. However it is not a busy High Street area and you need to travel further along the Bath Road for major amenities. Transport facilities are good with a free local bus routes (Heathrow Free Travel Zone) for Heathrow Airport or paid routes to central London and other areas. Junction 4 of the M4 motorway just 1 mile (1.6 km) away and tube links via Heathrow central Area 0.7 miles (1.1 km), Hatton Cross 1.8 or even the mainline at Hayes and Harlington 1.8 miles (2.9 km).
