This Travelodge was purpose built in 2011 and is a modern hotel occupying the first floor and up. The ground floor is occupied by retail units. The Travelodge Whetstone offers all the value of the largest budget chain in the UK. No frills but the basics are covered. Every bedroom comes with an en-suite bathroom, towels are supplied, there's a television with digital channels and a hospitality tray with tea and coffee facilities. The Travelodge's reception staff can assist with ironing facilities, hairdryer and extra sheets and towels if required.Don't forget that being a Travelodge means buying your own toiletries (except for soap) but there are dispensing machines that sell these. The Travelodge Whetstone hotel has wireless internet access but charges apply.
Onsite is a contemporary restaurant serving breakfast and dinner along with a bar selling a range of drinks. Breakfast is a buffet and there are vending machines for snacks any time of the day. There is also the option for a breakfast bag delivered to your door.

Nearest: Tube Station: Totteridge & Whetstone 0.3 miles (0.5 km), Railway Station: Oakleigh Park 0.5 miles (0.8 km), Motorway: M1 Junction 2 3.4 miles (5.5 km).Although this is some 8 miles outside of central London you are still surrounded by excellent amenities covering everything form shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets to leisure parks. The Travelodge London Whetstone is on the High Road that stretches from East Finchley to High Barnet, a distance of some 4 miles. In-between the stretches of retail shops are residential properties and this part of London (north London) is very much a well off residential area. The High Road is part of several major bus routes as well as being close to Totteridge and Whetstone tube station (10 minutes walk) on the northern line which will get you to central London with no changes of train needed. There's a large Marks and Spencer's supermarket right by the Travelodge. Just 2 miles down the High Road towards East Finchley is the Great Northern Leisure Complex with cinemas, bowling alley and restaurants. There's also a Tennis club close by. Also of note is Friary Park (1.2 miles), Barnet Museum (1.6 miles), Trent Park (2.2 miles) and Museum of Jewish Life (2.7 miles). The major event destination of Alexandra palace is 3.4 miles way. The RAF Museum with an excellent range of past war planes on exhibit is 3.7 miles way in Hendon. Road links are excellent with the North Circular A406 2 miles to the south and the M25 motorway 3.5 miles to the north. This is leafy London suburb with no less than 10 golf courses within 3 miles, the closet being South Herts Golf Course (0.4 miles) and North Middlesex Golf Course (0.6 miles).
