Hotel in Detail:From the group that opened the original "no bull shit" hotel in the area of Hoxton back in 2006. Hoxton (that original hotel has become the brand name for the company) came to prominence with an ethos of having the rates upfront and scrapping the hidden extras. This meant no exorbitant rate mini–bars, no high rate phone calls and no paid for internet at a time when free internet was very rare. Built on top of that was motivation to run a hotel with a vibe and in tune with the local environment. Now Hoxton has arrived in Holborn (opened September 2014).
The building is Grade II listed and features a gallery space for up and coming artists, 'The Apartments' which is the creative meetings and events space and a feeling of 'Hoxton Hustle' in all the public areas.
The design of the bedrooms makes the most of the compact space giving them a feel of comfort and style. The guest rooms all have air–conditioning, complimentary wireless internet and feature 280 count thread count linen. In–room amenities include a flat–screen TV, a fridge with fresh milk and water, tea and coffee making facilities, desk, telephone and radio. All guest rooms are en–suite with a bathtub or a rain–shower, steam–free mirrors, hairdryer and branded toiletries.
There is a room service and daily maid service.
Onsite are two restaurants run by the Soho House Group.
Hubbard and Bell Restaurant and bar: A funky industrial style a la carte venue housed in airy conservatory.
Holborn Grind: A chicken shop and espresso bar serving rotisserie chicken and creamy cappuccinos.
A healthy breakfast bag with granola yoghurt, a banana and orange juice is provided daily.
If you fancy being pampered there is a beauty salon within the hotel to buff your nails amongst other things.
The reception is 24 hours and the hotel supplied bicycles free of charge to guests. Also among the hotel benefits provided free are calls to the USA, UK, Australia and most of Europe for a total of one hour.
There is a small shop in the lobby which provides free mineral water.
Additional services to be found at the Hoxton Holborn include luggage storage, concierge, dry cleaning, fax and photocopies.
The hotel is fully non–smoking and there is a lift to all floors.
