Although it doesn't boast major high street superstores it does have a great range of smaller type shops along with restaurants and bars. Its almost opposite the ever popular Hendon Bar and Restaurant so you don't have far to go to enjoy a drink or snack. Running parallel with the high street (Hendon Way) is Brent Street which offers further similar type of amenities including many shops catering to the large local Jewish community. However when it comes to large scale shopping the Hide Hotel is just 1/3rd of a mile from the major shopping mall called Brent Cross . Here you will find a large number of the biggest high street names. Another area close by with plenty of amenities and high street shops is Golders Green, which is less than 1 mile and has some excellent restaurants and ethnic shops. Hendon itself is a residential suburb at the gateway into central London. The hotel is actually on the A41 dual carriageway which links with the North Circular Road (A406) for the M1 and M25 motorways and with the A1 which leads into central London.
Other local places of interest include Church Farmhouse Museum (0.7 miles) (Grade 2 listed building dating from the mid- seventeenth century with exhibitions throughout the year) and The RAF Museum (1.4 miles).
