The Hotel Rafayel on the left bank is located just on the south side of the River Thames and just off from the high Street amenities along Battersea Park Road n(0.7 miles). While Battersea offers plenty of shops, bars and restaurants its less than a mile to the upmarket and trendy shopping and entertainment along the Kings Road, Chelsea. The Kings Road can easily be accessed using either Wandsworth or Battersea Bridge. History:On 19th August 2010 the hotel had to be evacuated (120 guests) after a fire broke out in the basement car park. The initial cause thought to be a car catching light. The hotel closed for one week for repairs, there were no injuries resulting from the fire. 6 cars and 4 motorcycles were damaged in the car park.
