Hotel in Detail:The Kensington London Hotel is a Georgian building offering 150 stylish bedrooms and suites, a vibrant bar and a discerning modern restaurant designed by Michelin-starred chef John Wood. The hotel offers the feel of mix between a restored London mansion and a modern private members club. The elegant Kensington Hotel features a large stone-floored entrance hall with a velvet-lined alcove and red marble reception desk. Inside are Regency style period drawing rooms with bay windows, real fireplaces, parquet floors and original art. Throughout is an eclectic mix of furnishings and decor. All guest rooms are individually decorated.
Many of the bedrooms have warm, opulent tones, combining sumptuous fabrics and chic, antique-style furnishings such as button-backed velvet armchairs and cosy chenille throws. They also have full-height windows. All rooms have marble bathrooms. Clawfoot bath tubs fill in seconds thanks to state-of-the-art plumbing. In March 2014 The Kensington London Hotel was able to boast to housing the largest townhouse suite available in London. Called unsurprisingly the Kensington Suite which consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, circular day bed and its own private balcony. Totalling 180 sq metres with a 4 meter high ceiling.
Town House Restaurant: Graceful blend of classic heritage and contemporary style. Made up from three interconnecting drawing rooms with features such as fireplaces, a hidden whisky bar and a carefully curated library. The restaurant is also used for private dining and event space. The menu consists of selections of fresh, seasonal, locally-sourced produce and English Tea is also served. On the health side the restaurant also serves smoothies from The Juicery.

Town House Bar: Opens at 16.00 and closes at midnight. Features wood-panelled walls, subtle lighting and smoky blue glass ceiling. The bar is a cosy setting with a clubby ambience serving a wide selection of fine spirits and cocktails.
Traditional afternoon tea is served in the ground floor drawing rooms.

In January 2014 the hotel opened Londons largest hotel suite measuring 180sq m (1,920sq ft) as part of a £450,000 pound expansion. The suite was designed by Denis Looby of Sheehan and Barry Architects. Consisting of three interconnecting suites each bedroom having its own en-suite bathroom.
Complete refurbishment 2008/09 at a cost of £20 million pounds. Among the changes were a re-levelling of the floors so that tall windows became floor level.
