The train journey into central London takes around 30 minutes. Convenient for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships held at the all England Tennis club each June which is 2 miles north west of the hotel. Colliers Wood can lay claim to being home to one of the UK's ugliest buildings, known as the Colliers Wood Tower this large office block was named London's ugliest building in 2006. Its also home one of the largest supermarkets in Europe, the Sainsbury's Savacentre supermarket, located at 1 Merton high Street. Wimbledon is useful as a stop point between Gatwick Airport (about 40 minutes ) and central London and 2 motorways are within 10 miles, the M4 and the M25.
