The Bulgari hotel was a completely new building when first opened in June 2012 and is run by Ritz-Carlton. The interiors are designed by Antonio Citterio while the architects were Squire and Partners. The site was formerly the location for the Normandie Hotel which was totally demolished. Originally the new hotel was going to be called the Knightsbridge Palace Hotel.The Bulgari Hotel is one of the new breed of "designer hotels". Featuring a restaurant, bar, spirit room, private holistic spa, 25m swimming pool and hydrotherapy steam rooms (covering 2000 sq metres). Bulgari has a history fashioned in jewellery and as such the hotel has a silver theme along with extensive use of wood and marble. The hotel even has its own smoking shop.
The hotel offers some of the largest hotel bedrooms anywhere to be found in London with a variety of views that includes Hyde Park and Knightsbridge. The furnishing includes marbles, fine woods and unique detailing blend English style with Italian heritage. Many furnishings are exclusive to Bulgari, creating a unique intimate feel. Rich, refined Italian silk fabrics feature an elaborate floral and foliate pattern inspired by the silver Bulgari Chatelaine. The mini bar resembles a sumptuous travel trunk. Bathrooms are also larger than normal and feature freestanding baths and showers in Marquina marble and white glass.

Il Ristorante: Theatrically dramatic space with its own exclusive entrance from Knightsbridge Green leading down a sweeping staircase to Il Ristorante, with three further private dining rooms, originally led by Head Chef Robbie Pepin. Evokes all the glamour of the Dolce Vita era. Sleek mahogany, beautiful fabrics and leather, the handcrafted staircase, exclusive furniture and Bulgari cutlery, everything shows off its Italian style. Serves Italian cuisine and Contemporary dishes, drawing on classic Italian traditions, using sustainably sourced fresh and seasonal produce. The menu is complemented by an impressive wine list: supreme Italian wines, other rare wines and gems, together with significant labels from France.

Il Bar: Inspired by the craftsmanship of Italian silversmithing. Serves light snacks and drinks, exquisite cocktails including 12 signature cocktails, French Champagne and Italian sparkling wine list, exclusive fine wines and digestifs. The theatrical bar is one-of-a-kind and was created by Italian artisans, reproducing hammered silver. The ceiling is finished in titanium; the floor, black granite; the walls, polished Sapele mahogany.
The Lounge: Moving through from the hotel entrance, past contemporary and 17th and 18th century Roman silver pieces from the private Bulgari collection, one encounters the granite-clad lounge at the Bulgari Hotel in London. Welcoming and spacious, the lounge features a honed black granite floor and a fireplace in black granite and black cortain steel. Italian-made chairs and sofas covered in special fabrics complete the contemporary look and provide an alluring, spacious context for guests and visitors as they gather to enjoy the dynamic atmosphere. The drinks and food menu from Il Bar are available both here and in Il Bar itself. The menu changes throughout the day from breakfast through to light lunches, classic English afternoon tea and antipasti in the evening to share, Italian style.

Set over two entire floors the Spa comprises a 25m swimming pool, vitality pool, thermal experiences with ice fountains and cooling showers, relaxation room, 11 treatment rooms offering exclusive bespoke Bulgari treatments for the face and body, a fully equipped fitness centre and nail salon. There is also a private spa suite for two people with its own dressing room, steam shower and private relaxation room, treatment room and oversized hydro-massage tub and treatment room with a backdrop of spectacular green onyx. The Bulgari Spa is one of the largest in central London, and one of the most exclusive. It is very spacious yet intimate, creating a sense of tranquillity. Crafted from onyx, oak, Vicenza stone and Italian glass mosaics, the Spa blends a contemporary Italian design ethos with the dramatic visual heritage of Bulgari.
