With services such as 24 hour personal Butler service for all rooms (will pack, unpack, look after your trip planning and any other needs) you know this is a very special hotel. Thanks to a massive refurbishment in 2013/2015 under designer Alberto Pinto, all bedrooms and dining rooms were restored to their original Georgian splendour enhanced by the latest in modern technology. Guests at The Lanesborough experience fine dining in the Céleste restaurant, afternoon tea, cigars and cognacs in The Garden Room, and a wealth of in-room digital services. This one of the most expensive hotels in London, and for a reason, truly the ultimate in lavish and luxury. The hotel boasts an extensive collection of original international 18th and 19th century works of art, including pieces by Sir Joshua Reynolds.
The hotel is known for its amazing 24 hour butler service. Alongside the butlers are the concierge team who are also on hand to provide information and help on just about anything that might arise. The hotel also has its own team of chauffeurs.

To recreate the authentic nature of the original Regency style craftsmen using age-old techniques spent thousands of hours creating each unique ceiling, and applying ornamental plasterwork, stencilling, gold-leaf and hand-painted trompe l'oeil effects. However one enhancement not from that bygone era is the triple glazing on all windows to give some peace from the bustling area around the Lanesborough hotel that is central London. High tech features include control via tablet of room temperature, lighting, butler and housekeeping calls and  entertainment system. Guest can take advantage of the in-house library of music and movies.
The Lanesborough butlers are on hand 24/7. The use of bespoke in-room Sony tablets and the Fitness Studio are also complimentary to all rooms.

The hotel takes its name from Viscount Lanesborough who built his home on this spot in 1719. It was to become the St Georges Hospital and remained so between 1733 and 1980. Between 1825 and 1829 the original structure was demolished and a totally building emerged on the same spot. The hotel was shut down for good in 1980. In 1987 the building was again subject to major renovation, in reality a reconstruction while retaining the original facade and opened as the Lanesborough Hotel for the first time on December 30th 1991 under the Rosewood Hotels ownership. They set the designer the task of creating the look and feel of a Regency country home and the result is a hotel with class and style.
In December 2013 the Lanesborough auctioned off most of its interior in readiness for its major refurbishment during 2014.
In March 2007 the hotel was the first ever hotel in the UK to offer its guests free unlimited landline phonecalls. In 2009 became the first London hotel to offer complimentary laptop hire.
