Although only part of Greater London since 1965 Brentford has actually existed for over a 1000 years in one form or another (when it was called Breguntford). Only 6.5 miles (10.5 km) from Heathrow Airport (15 minutes drive) giving great international links and with the M4 motorway located almost adjacent to the Urban Villa hotel road links are great. The M4 leads onto the A4 dual carriageway (Great West Road) which takes you all the way into the heart of central London. However no need to travel anywhere since Brentford is centred around a long and busy High Street with all the amenities you could want, supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants and just 528 yards (482 metres) south of the Urban Villa. There are 3 local pubs within short walking distance and a small supermarket. One of the best known attractions in London is almost on your doorstep, Kew Gardens, at just 0.8 miles (1.3 km) and accessed via Kew Bridge.
