Hotel in Detail:
NOTE: CURRENTLY UNDERGOING REDEVELOPMENT:At the heart of our clients vision lies the ambitious proposal for the demolition and redevelopment of 91-92 Dean Street, Diadem Court, and 10-13 Great Chapel Street. The aim is to craft a distinctive visitor accommodation hostel (sui generis) with a capacity of approximately 750 beds. This involves the erection of a multi-faceted building spanning basement, ground, and three to four upper storeys, complete with essential amenities such as cycle parking, servicing facilities, and rooftop plant installations.
First opened in November 2014. The SoHostel is a play on words, SoHo as used in the name being the district the hostel sits in. This is really something different for London, cheap hotel accommodation from an organisation that is not–for–profit (One–Housing). Any profit that does arise is used to care for the homeless population in London. The SoHostel offers a range of accommodation types, from shared dormitories to deluxe twin bedrooms, something for everyone. There is also a daily maid service. Unlike some similar hostels at the SoHostel bed lined is free of charge (there is a charge for towels). Please note that all room types come with a hardwood floor, shared bathroom and toilet facilities. The hostel is bright, clean and secure and brings a much needed vibrancy to this end of the accommodation sector in central London. Although the area is full of options for dining and takeaways the hostel still offers an onsite breakfast as well as vending machines that are accessible 24 hours. The public areas have free WiFi while a faster service can be obtained from the bedrooms. Guests benefit from onsite washing, ironing and drying laundry facilities (coin operated). There is a projection TV in the lounge that shows special events. The SoHostel always has a bar lounge where guests can relax and enjoy a drink. The bar serves a hot snack menu and is open to guests only from 10.00 till 01.00. Dinner menu served from 15.00. There is a room with computer work stations and internet access. A great plus given the rock bottom price level is that guests get free 24/7 luggage storage facilities. Board games and book exchange available. Guests can store valuables in lockers and the hostel will hire you a padlock.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas.

In the heart of Soho, an area well known for being part of the main tourist and entertainment districts in central London. There was a time when Soho would have been known mainly for adult themed clubs but times change and today it is an eclectic part of London with a Large Chinese population and huge variety of restaurants, clubs and shops. The south side of Soho (south of Shaftesbury Avenue) has become known as China town and here you will find restaurant after restaurant of Asian inspired offerings. The Sohostel is just 100 yards (91 metres) south of Oxford Street, one of the busiest shopping streets in Europe with every taste catered for and leading down to Marble Arch and Hyde Park (1 mile, 1.6 km) at its western end. You are quite literally surrounded by some of the best loved tourist districts London has to offer, within 0.3 miles (0.5 km) are such as Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden and Regent Street. Bond Street and its fashion and jewellery shops is only 0.5 miles (0.8 km) from here. On your doorstep is the theatre district, with no less than 15 theatres within 528 yards (482 metres). The closest being the Astoria Theatre 246 yards. (224 metres) Public transport links are excellent in the area and you will never find it hard to hire a London black taxi if you don't want to use the nearby bus and tube links. This area is even served the London pedicabs, basically a guy on a bike pulling a small carriage behind in which the passenger sits. Check the price for the journey first though, they are notorious for some very high fares compared to the alternatives. The hotel is close to several takeaway pizza restaurants and there is a Tesco supermarket opposite.
