The Apartments don't seem to know quite what to call themselves. Depending you where you look you might see this called the Marlin Tower Bridge or Marlin Aldgate East or even a combination of both. Well it would be most accurate to say Marlin Aldgate since this is actually its true location and is actually half a mile from Tower Bridge. Part of a large brand specialising in upmarket apartments. Complimentary wireless internet access can be picked up within the buildings lobby and all areas. Note that all rooms are non-smoking. 24 hour reception.Contemporary and modern is the style on offer.

Just beyond the docklands is the ExCel exhibition centre which is 4 miles way. Anyone staying at the Marlin Apartments is most likely taking advantage of its close proximity to the City of London ( the Square mile and financial heartland) as the apartments border the City of London but being just outside of the main area the rates are lower than than they would otherwise be. While the main tourist areas are some 3 miles t the west the local vicinity still has many places of interest. Some of the most popular sites to visit include the Tower of London , which is with walking distance at less than half a mile. Extraordinary to think that a full size and original medieval castle is still alive and kicking by the banks of the Thames but such is the case. St Katherine Docks is also a great place to see with its yacht harbour, shops and restaurants and only 0.6 miles . Less than a mile and also to be found on the Thames is the world war II survivor, HMS Belfast, a war ship with a long history and open to the public. Its a similar distance to the London Dungeons. All in all the apartments are within a bustling part of the east end with a huge selection of shops and restaurants close by but keep in mind this is not a tourist area and the immediate vicinity is somewhat downmarket in comparison to the main central areas. However you remain within walking distance of some very nice areas and places of interest including several markets including Spitalfields and Petticoat lane. Local transpoprt linsk are good with bus routes and tube stations close by (5 minutes).
