This places it almost adjacent to the entrance for the Blackwall Tunnel (A102), a major crossing point for vehicles moving from north to south of the River Thames or vice versa. The hotel is also right by the A1262 Aspen Way dual Carriageway (a partly raised road) which you can use to get either to London City Airport 2.5 miles to the East of the City of London 3 miles to the West. Although this part of the Docklands is relatively quiet there is however a McDonalds restaurant less than 200 yards from the hotel as well as local pubs. The more central parts are far busier for shopping with a good selection of shops and restaurants within Canary Wharf (over 200 including a river restaurant) and expanding all the time. Canada Square is where you'll find well known landmarks such as the 800 foot high Canary Warf Tower and is home to a growing number of international companies is just 0.6 miles to the west. Local attractions include Billingsgate Fish Market (0.2 miles), O2 Millennium Dome (0.6 miles) (visible across the water from the hotel) and the Museum of the Docklands (0.6 miles). The major international ExCel exhibition centre is 1.6 miles to the East and the Queen Elizabeth Stadium is 2.2 miles to the north.
