Hotel Vicinity:Nearest: DLR Station: Stratford 0.2 miles (0.4 km), Tube & Railway Station: Stratford (London) 0.3 miles (0.5 km), Motorway: M11 Junction 4 4.4 miles (7.1 km). Once an afterthought as somewhere to the east of central London today Stratford is one of the most desirable locations outside of the main tourist areas. This thriving district has been rejuvenated thanks to the siting of the Stratford International Station and the building works that took place in the run–up to the 2012 London Olympics that were held in Stratford. This led to constructions such as Europes largest shopping mall, Westfield Stratford City. There is also a major High Street running through the heart of Stratford (on which the hotel sits) and a large shopping area (10 minutes walk) separate to Westfield. This places The Westbridge Hotel in a great location as an alternative to central London. From here you are just over 3 miles from London City Airport, an international airport, half a mile from the Olympic Stadium, 2 miles from the Docklands and just over 3 miles from the City of London (Square Mile, business district). Only one quarter of a mile from Stratford Tube (about 7 minutes walk) which is on the Circle and Jubilee lines (fare zone 3). This means you can connect to stations throughout central London, 20 minutes to the main central tourist areas. Right outside the Westbridge is a bus stop from where buses run into central London taking around 40 minutes. A convenient location also for Excel Exhbition Centre which is 2.5 miles from here and for the O2 arena which is a similar distance away (but on the south side of the River Thames) and is served by both bus and tube stops.
