Central London Hotels:
The most central London area postcode would be considered as W1, this takes in areas such as Marble Arch, Mayfair, Piccadilly, Regent Street, Bond Street and Oxford Street. Officially London centres on Charing Cross Station, but this isn't actually in the W1 postcode. As far as the tourist areas are concerned they would mostly centre on W1, the west end of London, with oxford street being the central street. This is truly the heart of London and its nightlife.
WC1 takes in  the kings cross and Bloomsbury areas which have many tourist attractions such as the British museum and is close to Tottenham court road. WC2 takes in mostly Holborn which bridges the gap between the city of London and the west end.
W2 takes in Paddington and Bayswater popular for the large amount of accommodation available here as well as being close to Hyde Park, Marble Arch and Notting Hill. W8 and SW7 take in the fashionable Kensington areas, this is a more exclusive part of London reflected in the type of cafes and shops you will find.
SW1 takes in Victoria which is a mix of accommodation and attractions as well as having great transport links.
NW1 takes in Camden, Primrose Hill and Marylebone, again a mix of various types of accommodation but definitely far more residential in nature than the other central postcodes.
