History:In 2013 the hotel was rebranded as an Ibis Style hotel. Had previously been called the Custom House Hotel at Excel.
At approximately 20.30 on March 7th 2007 a fire broke out on the hotels 5th floor which gutted the roof. Guests (around 100) had to spend the night in an nearby school.
