Hotel in Detail:The M by Montcalm Shoreditch London Tech City may sound a slightly long winded name but that bit tagged on to the end, Tech City, is due to the local area being popular for tech firms. The whole local area has become known as Silicon Roundabout which is really the Old Street roundabout where many of those internet companies are based. A purpose built hotel with an iconic architectural design, bold and colourful interiors (has been dubbed the Doodle for its clours) and amazing views out over the City of London.
Guest rooms have been designed an opulent yet modern feel and guests are treated to a pillow menu and a choice of exotic room aromas. You also get both in–room WiFi and fixed line broadband, both complimentary. This location sits close to the City of London with the main Square Mile around Moorgate and Finsbury Square being within half a mile. The tourist and nightlife areas of the West End are some 2 miles (3.2 km) from the M Montcalm Shoreditch. However Shoreditch and the adjoining area of Hoxton have much to offer and has plenty of amenities, restaurants and shops all around, it is just less upmarket than the main central areas.
