Originally a Victorian Town House this attractive hotel is set in award winning wonderful gardens. The hotel had many original period features (first became a hotel in 1890) that were retained including the stain glass arched windows and galleried reception Staircase.
All rooms were en-suite (shower, hairdryer) with a television, direct dial telephone with voicemail, tea/coffee making Facilities, a modem jack, trouser press and express checkout. Ironing boards & irons available on request.
Bridal suite had a Jacuzzi. Deluxe garden room opens out onto the gardens. Four poster rooms and a suite with 2 bedrooms also available. These 4 types of rooms all have air-conditioning and larger bathrooms.
Triples & Family rooms: Double or twin with foldaway beds or sofa beds. Max 2 adults.
The hotel has a room service menu. Drinks and sandwiches available 24 hours.
Sheldons Brasserie: Offerred modern English and French cuisine and fine wines. Open for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The Glen lounge bar: Spacious area to sit back and enjoy a range of drinks. Furnished with deep cushioned sofas.
There were 2 function/meeting rooms that can handle up to 120 guests. Screens, whiteboards, flipchart, video and DVD players supplied.
The hotel reception had safety deposit box facilities.

The Glen Eagle Manor was beautifully situated on the edge of the garden town of Harpenden and Set at the end of a high street full of boutiques, shops, restaurants and bars. Harpenden is some 4 miles south of Luton airport and linked by the A1081 main road. The nearby train station gives a direct link to London St Pancras International terminal and station and even down to the south coast and Brighton. The town is also surrounded by large open spaces and areas of parkland. Nearest places of interest include Redbournbury Watermill (2.62 miles), Capability Green Business Park (3.9 miles), Shaws Corner (4 miles) (former home of Bernard Shaw the play writer), Gorhambury (4.31 miles), Verulamium Museum (4.5 miles), Cathedral of St. Albanand Luton (4.76 miles), Shaws Corner Museum (3.98 miles) and the Roman Theatre and Verulamium (4.47 miles).

Directions: From m1 junction 9, at roundabout take the turning for Kinsbourne green. Follow this road through until you come to a mini roundabout which brings you onto the a1081. turn right at that roundabout and the hotel is on the right hand side 2 miles later, just after the garage and car dealer. from m1 junction 10 at roundabout off slip road go left onto dual carriageway and move into the right hand lane as you approach junction 10a. at the roundabout turn right onto the a1081, following the signs for Harpenden and St Albans. the hotel is 4 miles further on that road.
