Hotel in Detail:First opened in October 2012 the Novotel London Blackfriars in housed on the site of a former office block. Adjacent to the Ibis Blackfriars (both Accor brands). The hotel is located on the corner of Blackfriars Road and Meymott Street. This four star hotel includes a gym, indoor heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, twelve business suites, six meeting rooms (approximately 250 square metres of conference space), bar and restaurant.
This is an eco friendly hotel. Taps and showers are fitted with water flow regulators, toilets are water-efficient and use rainwater from the roof and guests are encouraged to reuse towels and sheets if they are staying longer than a night.
Novotel call their most modern bedrooms 'new-generation' bedrooms, which is the type guests will enjoy at this hotel. Comment: The Ibis Blackfriars was part of the same development as the Novotel Blackfriars, both Accor hotels, and opned in October 2012. The site was formerly used for an office block but was was bought by Irish developers McAleer & Rushe in 2007 for £25 million pounds.
