Hotel in Detail:First opened in September 2015. Hilton has long synonymous with high end hotels. The Hilton London Bankside brings 5 star luxury to south London under the famous Hilton brand. The building. was been designed by Dexter Moren Architects and features a split level design with one half of the building lower than the other to give 2 adjoining forms. The facade combines brick, metal and glass. The hotel features a Living Well leisure centre (with swimming pool) and conference facilities (1,000 sq mtrs) for 700 delegates. Retails outlets are located along the hotels frontage. The interior has a 4 floor high glass atrium. The hotel also has its own restaurant, cafe and bar.
Bedrooms are designer inspired and feature custom furnishings and are all air–conditioned and soundproofed. All guest rooms offer complimentary WiFi, bathrobe and slippers, mini fridge with snacks and drinks, large flat screen TV with PPV channels, ergonomic work desk and chair, laptop–size safe, hairdryer, coffee/tea making facilities, complimentary water, branded toiletries, alarm clock, iron and ironing board.
All rooms have a room service and maid service.
OXBO Bankside: A fresh and contemporary grill for the simple pleasures such as steak, grilled meat and classic seafood dishes with an innovative twist. A lively environment with an innovative menu with a focus on grill classics. The restaurant has oak panelling and a chic style. Open till 22.30, (23.00 Thursday, Friday, Saturday).
The Distillery: The hotels vibrant destination Bar open to locals as well as hotel residents. Also serves light bites and snacks. The environment is engaging with an old world feel.
The name Distillery is a throwback to the essence factory of Stevenson & Howells Standard Works that was located on this site in the 19th century.
