Comment: The Ibis Blackfriars was part of the same development as the Novotel Blackfriars, both Accor hotels, and opned in October 2012. The site was formerly used for an office block but was was bought by Irish developers McAleer & Rushe in 2007 for £25 million pounds. During 2010/12 the site has been redeveloped to create a twin hotel designed by HKR Architects.
