| Introduction:
The
Crowne Plaza Ealing Hotel enjoys a wonderful
location in terms of road links. Actually on the Hanger Lane Gyratory
System, this is the cross section of the A40 and A406 (North
Circular Road) Dual Carriageways, which provide links to
motorways going all over the country such as the M1 ( goes
North) and the M40 (goes West) and M25 London Orbital
motorway. Almost opposite the hotel is Hanger Lane Tube station which can get
you into central London in 20-30 minutes. The hotel is
also well located for Heathrow Airport,
Wembley Stadium (1.7 miles)
and Wembley Arena (2 miles). There is a parade of shops actually on the gyratory
system itself on both the North and South sides. To the North you have a larger
range of shops and market stalls geared to the Asian market along Ealing Road
which itself leads to the more cosmopolitan and busy shopping area of Wembley
High Road. To the South at just over a mile is another large and popular
shopping area at Ealing High Road as well as the large open spaces of Ealing
Common. This location is a good intermediate place to stay as a link between
Heathrow and London with easy access by public transport and road to most areas
within Central London. The A40 on which the hotel is located is a straight dual
carriageway into the heart of London to the north side and long Marylebone Road.
Local attractions include Pitshanger Manor Museum (1.45 miles), an example of
the work of architects John Soane and also George Dance dating back to the late
18th and early 19th centuries. It also includes different exhibitions of
contemporary art works. Gunnersbury Park Museum (2 miles), Tells the history of
Ealing and Hounslow. Another nearby attraction is the
Brent Cross shopping mall, known as North
London's West End. A practical
day out from this location would be a trip to
Legoland (15
