system itself on both the North and South sides. To the North you
have a larger range of shops and market stalls geared to the Asian
market along Ealing Road which itself leads to the more cosmopolitan
and busy shopping area of Wembley High Road. To the South at just
over a mile is another large and popular shopping area at Ealing
High Road as well as the large open spaces of Ealing Common. This
location is a good intermediate place to stay as a link between
Heathrow and London with easy access by public transport and road to
most areas within Central London. The A40 on which the hotel is
located is a straight dual carriageway into the heart of London to
the north side and long Marylebone Road. Local attractions include
Pitshanger Manor Museum (1.45 miles), an example of the work of
architects John Soane and also George Dance dating back to the late
18th and early 19th centuries. It also includes different
exhibitions of contemporary art works. Gunnersbury Park Museum (2
miles), Tells the history of Ealing and Hounslow. Another nearby
attraction is the
Brent Cross shopping mall, known as North London's
West End. A
practical day out from this location would be a trip to
Legoland (15 miles).
