Introduction: Located just to the west of central London
the Best Western Premier Shaftesbury Kensington Hotel is convenient for two
major exhibition centres. These are at Earls Court (0.4 miles) and Olympia (0.8
miles). The hotel is just yards from the Cromwell Road which is A4 Dual
Carriageway. This is the major road for traffic entering and leaving London from
the West. It also affords direct road access to Heathrow Airport which takes
around 25 minutes from here with a clear run. It also links up with the M4
motorway and being a major road means you'll always find a taxi to hail. Hogarth
Road itself is a relatively quiet street which is one way and must be entered
from Earls Court Road. Within 200 yards is a major supermarket, Sainsburys, at
157 Cromwell Road. There's also a huge Tesco supermarket less than half a mile
away on Cromwell Road by Warwick Road. Half a mile to the North finds the
fashionable shopping and cafes of
Kensington High Street while the nearest major shopping is along Earls Court
Road. Within 1 mile to the south is the hugely popular and busy
Kings
Road, Chelsea. Other nearby attractions include
Linley Sambourne House (0.5 miles),
Leighton house museum (0.6 miles),
Hyde
Park/Kensington Gardens (0.7 miles),
Natural History Museum (0.7 miles),
Kensington Palace (0.7 miles) and the
Science
Museum (0.8 miles).
