Introduction: The Darlington Hyde
Park Hotel is located on the north western edge of central London in
residential section of Paddington. Just over 300 yards from the
mainline railway station of Paddington (home to the direct service
to Heathrow airport, the
Heathrow Express). Sussex Gardens itself runs between Hyde Park
and Edgware Road. Hyde Park being a large recreational open space
and Edgware Road having extensive shopping and amenities. Behind the
hotel to the south is a residential area of Bayswater where some
very expensive homes are located, many owned by visitors from middle
eastern countries. Sussex gardens is a semi busy road, not a major
road but used for traffic cutting through Hyde Park to get to South
Kensington. Its also used as a bus route for the 7, 15, 23, 27, 36,
205, 332, 436 routes and there's a black taxi to be found using this
road. Nearest major shopping is to be found at Oxford Street (0.6
miles) and Queensway (0.7 miles). Local attractions include the
Alexandra Fleming Laboratory (0.1 miles) and Church Street Market
(0.4 miles).

Once a row of 4 Victorian Townhouse residences the Darlington Hyde
Park is now a modern hotel serving an area popular with budget
priced accommodation.
Every bedroom come with private bathroom facilities Gilchrist &
Soammes Toiletries, hairdryer, bathtub). In-room amenities include a
flat screen television with digital channels, tea/coffee facilities,
direct dial telephone, fax/modem connection, free WiFi internet
access (most rooms but depends on signal strength), electronic

mini-rolls, jam, fresh coffee and teas ), continental and full
English breakfast (English sausage, bacon, eggs with grilled
tomatoes and butter boiled mushrooms).
There are many and varied restaurants on the surrounding vicinity
(local restaurant guide provided by hotel).
For soft and alcoholic drinks the reception provides a range of
drinks.
The hotel uses an electronic key card system which means a card is
required for access to the reception and foyer as well as your
bedroom. The lobby area provides armchairs in front of a fireplace
for guests to relax in.
