| Description: The Royal Sussex
Hotel is located on the North Western border of central London in the area of
Paddington. This location is between Edgware Road and Bayswater Road. Edgware
Road is part of the A5 main road, one of the UK's longest roads and dating back
to the time of the Romans. This section of Edgware Road is a busy shopping area
with many Middle Eastern oriented restaurants and shops towards it Marble Arch
end. Bayswater Road is the Northern border of the popular Hyde Park with its
wide open spaces and central Serpentine Lake. Paddington Station is walking
distance from here with its direct services to Heathrow Airport (Heathrow
Express). Other nearby shopping and leisure areas include Queensway with the
covered Whitley's shopping centre and also an ice rink, and Notting Hill with
its upmarket feel. Other local attractions include Alexander Fleming Laboratory
(0.1 miles), Oxford Street (0.5 miles), Wallace Collection (0.8 miles),
Serpentine Gallery (0.8 miles), Madame Tussauds (0.8 miles), MCC Museum (0.8
miles) and the Albert memorial (1 mile). The Royal Sussex is privately owned and run. Bedrooms are contemporary, amenities include en-suite facilities, direct dial telephones, TV, trouser press and hairdryer. Onsite on the lower ground floor is the Zebra Restaurant and licensed Bar. The zebra is fully air-conditioned and serves a la carte or a set menu. Breakfast is 7.00 till 9.00, Dinner 18.00 till 23.00.
