| Description:
The Franklin Hotel London is
situated in the heart of London in one of the more upmarket
areas. It's made up from four Victorian Townhouses that were
made into a hotel in 1992. On the borders of Chelsea,
Knightsbridge and Fulham some of London's best shopping is on
the doorstep. Harrods is a short walk along Brompton road, while
fashionable shops cafes and bars can be found close by at
Knightsbridge, Sloane Street and Kings Road Chelsea. Also a
short walk away is Hyde Park. Nearest attractions include the
Brompton Oratory, Victoria and Albert Museum, Buckingham Palace
and Kensington Palace. Details subject to change: The bedrooms have been meticulously maintained and continually refurbished and are decorated with discreet good taste, giving the impression that the guests are staying in the owner's home. This is reflected by antique furniture, oil paintings, objets d'art and traditional fabrics that are found in every room. All bedrooms have full air-conditioning, en-suite marble bathrooms, direct dial telephones with dataport and voicemail, optional fax facilities, room safe, private bar and satellite television including CNN News. The Bar at The Franklin is designed to be a quiet and comfortable place to have a drink and is based on the honour system. You pour yourself a stiff gin and tonic, sign a chit and post it. There Are also Two Drawing Rooms Overlooking The Gardens. The Franklin Hotel has a beautifully decorated dining room. Open from 7am for breakfast and available for dining all day. An extensive Room Service menu is available until 11pm, and selected items may be ordered through the night. Your order can be served in your room, the dining room, the drawing room or the bar. Afternoon tea is served in the drawing room from 3pm to 6pm each day. A conference room is available for up to 12 guests. |
