Introduction: The Colonnade is a Town House Hotel located
just on the North West tip of central London in Maida Vale. This part of Maida
Vale is known as Little Venice because running through its heart is the Regents
Canal which has a number of permanently moored barges (floating homes) at this
point. Maida Vale itself is a mix of upmarket houses home to the rich and famous
and a host of bed sit type properties. This is a mainly residential area with
some local shops nearby but within minutes by taxi of some of London's most
popular areas. The King Alfred public house (bar) is just to the rear of the
hotel. These include Regents Park, Edgware Road, Marble Arch, Hyde Park, Oxford
Street, Bayswater and Queensway. Paddington Station with its direct train
service to Heathrow Airport (
Heathrow
Express) is just half a mile away. Nearest attractions include Madame
Tussauds, Kensington Palace, London Zoo, MCC Museum, Saatchi Gallery,
Serpentine Gallery and The Wallace collection.

than a standard hotel. The lobby welcomes you to the hotel with the scent of
fresh flowers in the lobby.
Bedrooms are all individually designed, decorated and laid out to remain true to
the hotels heritage as a luxury private residence. They are also all
air-conditioned. Rooms make use of sumptuous

full size suites have four poster beds.
Some of the suites are split level and have seen many illustrious guests over
the years, and indeed some have been named after their former guests. For

specially made for his visit remains in place. Other suites are named Turing
(broke the enigma code) and the Freud suites.
