The
Best Western Phoenix Hotel is located on the North Western
border of central London. Situated in an area very popular for hotels in the
budget/tourist class range. Within a short walk of shopping areas at Queensway
and Notting Hill. Queensway offers pubs, restaurants, cinema, ice skating, a covered
shopping centre (Whitley's) and a good selection of shops. Notting Hill is more
upmarket and chic and a well-to-do residential area. A little bit further finds
Kensington High Street which is yet another busy and popular shopping area.
Less then 1/3rd of a mile from the hotel is the wonderful
Hyde Park, with its wide open spaces,
serpentine gallery, snack bars, play areas, statues, lake, horse riding. The
Park merges with Kensington Gardens and together they form a park that you can
easily spend a day walking through and taking in its attractions. Transport
links are good with Paddington Station hosting a non-stop service to Heathrow
Airport (Heathrow
Express). The nearby Bayswater Road is a busy main route where you will have
no trouble finding a London Taxi or London Bus. Other nearby attractions include Portobello

The Phoenix hotel is converted from eight London townhouses built in 1854, refurbished to suit today's modern traveller, whilst still retaining its original atmosphere. Kensington gardens is a relatively quiet Square off of the surrounding busy main roads and the hotel occupies the Southern side of the square..
