| Description:
The Danubius Hotel Regents Park is
located in St. Johns Wood, a much sort-after residential area,
nearly opposite both Regents Park (also London Zoo) and Lords Cricket ground. From
here access to central London is very easy, in fact a quick taxi
ride down Baker Street (or a little longer walk) finds Oxford Street, Marble Arch and
Mayfair. Other nearby attractions include Madame Tussauds (0.7
miles), Wallace Collection (1.1 miles), Freud Museum (1.3 miles), Serpentine
Gallery (1.7 miles), Albert Memorial (1.9 miles) and Buckingham Palace (2.3
miles). All rooms have an en-suite bathroom, satellite TV with pay per view movie channels, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, direct dial phone, voicemail, trouser press, desk, air conditioning and have fixed fee broadband Internet access. Enjoy a meal in American style surroundings at the Minsky's New York Delhi and Restaurant with a choice of Carvery buffet or an à La Carte Menu. | The London area of NW8 is called St Johns Wood. This is a largely residential area, very much an upmarket and sought after area with a cosmopolitan population. There is a large number of Americans resident here due in large part to the local American School. St Johns Wood NW8 has one of the UK, most expensive and affluent roads at 'Avenue Road'. This leads from Swiss Cottage at its North end down to Regents Park at its South end. St Johns Wood High Street is busy, popular and has a chic feel. There's bars, cafes, shops and banking facilities here. To the North is Swiss Cottage which is the start of the Finchley Road. This is a busy main road with a large shopping area including the covered O2 centre with its multi cinema complex. Also to the North is another upmarket area at Hampstead with its popular High Street dubbed Hampstead Village. |
